Samsung confirmed the July 10 Galaxy Unpacked event earlier this week with reservations currently live for the upcoming foldables and wearables. As the launch date approaches, new Galaxy Z Fold 6 renders have surfaced online, suggesting its possible colour options. The latest images showcase the squared-off design of the book-style foldable phone, appearing similar to the Galaxy S24 Ultra. The phone is shown in three shades with a triple rear camera setup and a hole punch inner display.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Colorways and Design Leaked
Tipster Passionategeekz has shared new alleged renders of the Galaxy Z Fold 6. The design appears quite similar to what has been seen in previous leaks. The latest images showcase the phone in blue, pink, and titanium colour options, with sharp edges and a squared-off look, potentially inspired by the Galaxy S24 Ultra’s design.
The phone’s design seems to have remained unchanged compared to the Galaxy Z Fold 5. The internal display includes a hole-punch cutout for the camera, while three camera rings are arranged on the rear.
Samsung Offers Pre-Order Reservations in India Ahead of Galaxy Unpacked
Samsung has opened pre-order reservations for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and other upcoming devices in India ahead of the Galaxy Unpacked event. The reservations are expected to give customers early access to the new devices and potential discounts or exclusive offers.
Launch Details
Samsung will host the next Galaxy Unpacked event on July 10 from Paris. The event will be livestreamed at 3 PM CEST (6:30 PM IST) on YouTube and Samsung’s social channels. The Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 are expected to take center stage at the event. However, Samsung is also likely to unveil the Galaxy Watch 7, Galaxy Watch Ultra, Galaxy Ring, and Galaxy Buds 3 series.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Specifications (Leaked)
The Galaxy Z Fold 6 could feature a 7.6-inch QXGA+ (1,856×2,160 pixels) Dynamic AMOLED 2X inner screen and a 6.3-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X cover display. It is tipped to run a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy with 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and come in 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB storage options.
Samsung is said to pack a triple rear camera setup on the Galaxy Z Fold 6 LED by a 50-megapixel Wide-Angle camera. It is likely to include a 10-megapixel selfie camera on the cover display and a 4-megapixel camera on the inner screen. The device is said to get a 4,400mAh battery.
The anticipation for Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event on July 10 continues to build as new leaks and renders of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 surface. The latest images suggest a design similar to the Galaxy S24 Ultra, with colour options in blue, pink, and titanium. The specifications, including a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Processor and various storage options, indicate a powerful and versatile device—Samsung’s pre-order reservations in India hint at a strong launch strategy for the new foldables and wearables.
Sony recently announced its new audio sub-brand ULT, under which it debuted three new speakers out of which, we are going to review the mid-sized one, dubbed ULT Field 7. With a staggering price tag of Rs 39,990 is it worth your while or should you skip it? We’ll have an answer for the question by the end of this review.
Build Quality & Design
Similar to the ULT Field 1, the Sony ULT Field 7 carries forward a resembling design which has nearly the same shape. The Field 7 is coated with a mesh-like material all around with the sides being made of plastic and having a rubberised feel. The sides have openings that act as handles so you can easily carry the speaker around. While it’s quite heavy, the handles do allow you to carry it in whatever position you like, be it vertical or horizontal.
The top of the speaker has all the buttons, again with a rubberised texture. There’s the power button, Bluetooth button, volume up and down buttons along with the lineup’s signature ULT button that we also saw on the Field 1. The ULT button is backlit and matches the lights that are wrapped around the passive radiators on either side of the speaker.
The diaphragm moves significantly when the beats hit. The front has the SONY logo while the plastic portions on each side also have a flatter stand beneath them so that the speaker doesn’t rollover when you keep it on a flat surface. The speaker can also be kept vertically in case there’s a space issue in keeping it horizontally.
At the back, there’s a waterproof cover that protects all the I/O ports. As the speaker is IP67 rated, you can easily take it with you to beach parties or a pool-side party without worrying that water could damage it.
Speaking of connectivity options, the speaker supports not only AUX connectivity but also has Karaoke support and Guitar input as well. Then there’s also a USB-A port which can play songs via a Pendrive. The USB-A port further allows you to use the speaker as a power bank, so you can also charge up your devices through it, such as a smartphone. I would have liked if it had a USB-C port too, but we have to work with what we got here.
The speaker itself charges via an AC cord. The waterproof cover also protects buttons for the lights which are positioned on the passive radiators along with the Battery care button.
Overall, the design of the speaker is quite premium as well as modern. It’s heavy but also packs a good number of features while the IP67 rating is an added benefit. The lights on each side further enhance the appeal of the ULT Field 7.
The ULT Field 1 is backed up by a Tweeter Unit approximately 46 mm in size paired with a Woofer Unit approximately 114–114 mm in size. The sound from this cylindrical speaker is astonishing. The music sounds full, has depth, and the speaker itself is quite loud for its size.
It can effortlessly fill a large space and serve as the main music source for a sizable gathering, such as a birthday party. The bass has that thump you can feel in the chest while the mids and high frequencies are brought out well and clear. The speaker excelled with tracks featuring clear beats, effectively highlighting the bass in those songs.
At high or maximum volumes, the vocals and mid frequencies take over while the bass takes a back seat. It’s not noticeable in all the songs but in some, the bass does get affected. The ULT button increases the bass, creating an enjoyable experience.
There are two ULT modes where one of them enhances the bass to some extent while the other one creates the effect of more power that further emphasizes the bass, which is the mode I found more desirable as per my taste in music. You also get a custom 7-band EQ so you can tune it as per your needs via the Sony Music Center app.
As the speaker is front-firing, it doesn’t have that 360-degree sound effect. Aside from that, it supports the LDAC codec which further enhances the details in a song when playing via an app that supports hi-res audio streaming, such as Apple Music. It connects wirelessly via Bluetooth v5.2, and the connection is stable with whatever smartphone I connect it to. Moreover, there’s support for multipoint connection which means you and your friend can both control what tracks are played.
Because it also supports Google Fast Pair, the popup to connect to the speaker appears as soon as you turn it on.
Users can also connect a mic to use the Karaoke feature. Plus, you can connect your guitar to turn the Sony ULT Field 7 into an amp. However, due to a lack of equipment, we couldn’t test out these two features.
The USB-A port on the back of the speaker charges connected devices and can play music from a storage device, such as a Pendrive. It also has AUX support.
The Party Connect feature allows you to connect another ULT Field 7 speaker which can create a stereo effect. In other words, both the speakers would then play content in sync with each other.
Aside from controlling the party connect feature and allowing you to customise the audio signature, the Sony Music Center app further enables the user to change the speaker’s lighting effect. Featuring a range of options, changing the light will affect the backlight of the ULT button and the light strips on either side of the speaker that are attached to the passive radiators.
There’s also an option called DJ Effect that can help you apply certain types of effects to the audio. A Battery Level option is where a voice will speak the battery percentage left in the speaker whenever it is turned on. Auto standby, Bluetooth standby, and Battery Care options are available too.
The speaker is claimed to last 30 hours on a single charge, while you can get 3 hours of playing time from just 10 minutes of charging. Volume level and lighting can both affect the battery life of the speaker.
In other words, if you continuously listen to music at high volumes or you have the lights turned on, the battery will deplete faster than when the volume is low or lights are turned off. In our usage, with volume leves ranging from mid to high and the lights turned on at all times, we could easily make it last more than a week with about 1.5 to 2 hours of playtime each day. The speaker does take a considerable amount of time to charge, though.
Bharti Airtel announced an increase in telecom tariffs by 10-21% on June 28. This move follows a similar hike by rival Reliance Jio, which raised its mobile plan prices by 12-25% on June 27. This marks the first price increase since December 2021.
The new tariffs will be effective from July 3 for Airtel and Jio consumers. Bharti Airtel stated that entry-level plans will see a modest price increase, less than 70 paise per day, to avoid burdening budget-conscious consumers.
Bharti Airtel emphasized that the mobile Average Revenue per User (ARPU) needs to exceed ₹300 to maintain a financially viable business model for Indian telecom companies. This ARPU level is essential for substantial investments in network technology and spectrum and for ensuring a return on capital.
Reliance Jio’s recent tariff increase includes a 22% hike on the Rs 155 plan, which now costs Rs 189 and offers 2 GB data with unlimited voice calling. Other plans in the Rs 209 to Rs 399 range have seen increases of over 12%.
Jio Increases Plan Prices and Launches New Services

The Rs 209 plan will now cost Rs 249, with the same 28-day validity. The data benefits of these plans remain unchanged. The Rs 239 plan, which previously offered unlimited 5G data, will no longer provide this feature. The Rs 239 plan will now cost Rs 299 with a 28-day validity. Unlimited 5G data will now only be available on plans with 2GB/day and above.

Google has officially confirmed that it will be holding a launch event on August 13, for the potential revealing of the brand’s upcoming Pixel 9 series along with the Google Pixel Watch 3. The event is being held earlier than Google’s typical October timeframe for launching new Pixel smartphones.
Google posted a teaser via the “Made By Google” YouTube account and also created a microsite on its Google Store page. The new teaser doesn’t reveal the device but does partially highlights its design. Meanwhile, the company also sent out invites to the press, stating, “You’re invited to an in-person Made by Google event where we’ll showcase the best of Google AI, Android software and the Pixel portfolio of devices.”
The event will not only focus on new hardware but will also showcase what Google has in stores when it comes to new software-based AI features. Furthermore, the design of the Pixel 9 outlined in the teaser for the August launch somewhat matches the leaked one.
The lineup is expected to consist of three smartphones this year, including the Pixel 9 Pro XL, Pixel 9 Pro, and the Pixel 9. All three devices will have a resembling design. The whole camera bar is now in pill shape compared to it being rectangular on Pixel 8 Pro with only the camera cutout inside it having the pill shape.
The rear of the Pixel 9 Pro XL can be seen housing the triple camera system paired with other Sensors and an LED flash in its leaked renders. One of these sensors look like a periscope telephoto sensor, while we suspect that the other two would include the primary lens and an ultra-wide angle lens.
Meanwhile, the brand is also expected to reveal the Pixel Watch 3 at the upcoming event. The design of the smartwatch was also leaked a few weeks back. The upcoming watch will retain the design of its predecessors. However, for the first time, the watch will be available in two sizes where the larger variant will have a 1.45-inch display, and will be called Pixel Watch 3 XL.
In another related update, Samsung has confirmed the launch of its next-generation foldables and will be holding an event on July 10 to unveil them.
After multiple leaks, Samsung has finally confirmed that the rumoured Galaxy Unpacked event date was correct, marking July 10 as the date when it will debut its next products in the Galaxy Z Series lineup. This will include the Galaxy Z Flip 6 along with the Galaxy Z Fold 6.
“On July 10, Samsung Electronics will host Galaxy Unpacked in Paris — where the iconic cultural nexus and trend epicentre becomes the perfect backdrop for the rollout of our latest cutting-edge innovations,” Samsung said in a release. The event will be streamed live on Samsung.com, Samsung Newsroom and Samsung’s YouTube channel at 3 p.m. CEST, 6 a.m. PDT, 9 a.m. EDT, and 6:30 p.m. IST.
We have already compiled a detailed list of what you can expect to witness at the event, but for a quick glance, Samsung will be unveiling its Galaxy Z Fold 6 and the Galaxy Z Flip 6. Samsung will be making some major upgrades to the Z Fold 6 this year, including a revamped design which will allow for a better aspect ratio. The Galaxy Z Fold 6 will adopt a Galaxy S24 Ultra-like boxy design with sharper corners and flat edges, compared to rounded edges in the previous models.
The design of the Galaxy Z Flip 6 has been leaked extensively before and while some might be disappointed, the minor refresh could be enough for many. The Galaxy Z Flip 6 will carry forward the same design of the Z Flip 5 cover screen which is shaped like a PC Folder icon. It will also have flatter sides, like that of the Galaxy S24.
The event will also showcase other new launches from the brand, such as the much-awaited Galaxy Ring, Galaxy Watch 7 series, Galaxy Buds 3 series, along with new Galaxy AI features in the upcoming One UI 6.1.1 update.
We have often seen Vivo follow up a launch from iQOO with a smartphone that’s highly similar in terms of specifications. However, this time around, the reverse could happen as iQOO may be planning to launch the Z9 Lite 5G smartphone in India next month which is expected to be a rebranded Vivo T3 Lite 5G that’s scheduled to launch on June 27.
As per Mukul Sharma, iQOO will debut the Z9 Lite 5G smartphone in India around mid-July, as the brand’s first-ever entry-level 5G handset. Sharma adds that it will come in two shades including Brown and Blue. While he didn’t share any more details about the handset, it is expected that the device will be a rebranded Vivo T3 Lite 5G.
Vivo T3 Lite 5G will launch in India on June 27 and its key specifications have already leaked. Vivo has also confirmed the design of the handset in advance and it is possible the iQOO Z9 Lite 5G may sport the same design, but in different shades.
The Vivo T3 Lite 5G will employ the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 Processor under the hood. The smartphone will house a 50MP Sony AI camera, which will be accompanied by a secondary camera that could likely house a depth sensor. The screen is expected to be an IPS LCD panel with a high refresh rate.
As for its price, the Vivo T3 Lite 5G is expected to have a starting price tag of Rs 11,999 in India. Vivo says that the T3 Lite 5G is its cheapest dual 5G smartphone so far, suggesting the leaked price tag could indeed be correct. The same could go for the iQOO Z9 Lite 5G as well, considering its leaked info suggests the same about the device.
