With almost new smartphones getting launched in the market daily, other handsets players prefer to reduce the prices of their existing phones to retain the market share. Nokia 2.1

Nokia 2.1 was launched last year for Rs 6,999, though it’s MOP was Rs 6,499. The smartphone is now available in India at Rs 5,499 after a Rs 1,000 price cut.

Nokia 2.1 features a 5.5-inch HD IPS display with a screen resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. It is powered by quad-core Snapdragon 425 processor along with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of ROM. The phone is a part of Oreo (Go Edition) and it runs on Android 8.1 Oreo.

For photography, there is an 8-megapixel rear sensor and a 5-megapixel selfie camera. The memory can be expanded up to 128GB via micro SD card slot. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, 802.11 a/b/g/n, GPS/ A-GPS, GLONASS, Beidou, dual-SIM, 3.5mm and port. There is a 4000mAh battery, which the brand claims can last up to 2 days.

Apple iPhone XR got a price drop of Rs 17,000

Apple iPhone XR was launched in India last year in three variants 64GB, 128GB and 256GB at Rs 76,900, Rs 81,900 and Rs 91,900 respectively. With the price cut, iPhone XR 64GB variant is available at Rs 59,900, the iPhone XR 128GB variant is now priced at Rs 64,900, down from Rs. 81,900. The iPhone XR price for the 256GB variant now is currently available at Rs 74,900, down from Rs. 91,900. This means a Rs 17,000 price cut for all the models.

Apple iPhone XR features a 6.1-inch Liquid Retina LCD display with 1792 x 828 pixels with 328ppi pixel density. It runs on the latest 12 operating system.

The iPhone XR is powered by the Apple A12 Bionic that is made with a 7nm process and comes loaded with a quad-core GPU.For photography, the phone comes with a single camera lens with a 12-megapixel wide-angle lens with f/1.8 aperture, optical image stabilization, 1.4-micron pixel size and 6-element lens. There’s a single 7-megapixel selfie shooter on the front which is enabled with and a variable DOF for bokeh effect.

Nokia 6.1 Plus

Nokia 6.1 Plus 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage variant was launched in February this year for Rs 18,499. The smartphone has received a price cut of Rs 1,500 and now it retails at Rs 16,999.

Nokia 6.1 Plus features a 5.8-inch Full HD+ display with a screen resolution of 2280 x 1080 pixels with 19:9 aspect ratio and 3 protection. The phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor along with Adreno 509 GPU.

For optics, Nokia 6.1 Plus is equipped with a dual-camera setup, which comes with a combination of 16-megapixel primary lens f/2.0 and a 5-megapixel monochrome sensor with f/2.2 aperture. For the front, there is a 16-megapixel shooter with f/2.0 aperture. The phone runs on Android Oreo and it features a 3060mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support.

Nokia 7.1 got a price drop of Rs 3,000

HMD Global has slashed the price of the Nokia 7.1 smartphone by Rs 3,000. With this, the phone is available at a price tag of Rs 16,999. The smartphone was launched in the country for Rs 19,999.

Nokia 7.1 features a 5.84-inch Full HD+ (1080×2280 pixels) display with 19:9 aspect ratio, HDR10 support, and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is powered by 1.8GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 636 processor with Adreno 509 GPU. It comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage and is expandable memory up to 400GB with microSD.

For optics, the smartphone features a dual rear camera setup, which comes with a combination of 12-megapixel primary camera with f/1.8 aperture,1.28 um pixel size, ZEISS optics and a 5-megapixel monochrome secondary sensor with f/2.4 aperture, 1.12um pixel size. For the front, it has an 8-megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture and 84-degree field-of-view.

OnePlus 6T got price drop of Rs 4,000

OnePlus 6T was launched at Rs 37,999 for the 6GB/128GB variant. After a price cut of Rs 3,000, the variant is now priced at Rs 34,999 on Amazon. The 8GB/128GB version is currently priced at Rs 37,999 after a price cut of Rs 4,000. While the 8GB/256GB OnePlus 6T variant is priced at Rs 41,999 after the Rs 4,000 drop.

The OnePlus 6T comes loaded with a 6.4-inch Optic with 1080 x 2340 pixels resolution, 19.5:9 aspect ratio and Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection. The OnePlus 6T is fuelled by a 3,700mAh battery with support for up to 20W fast charging. It has dual rear camera setup 16-megapixel and a 20-megapixel sensors. At the front, the OnePlus 6T contains a 16-megapixel sensor.

The smartphone runs OxygenOS based on Android 9.0 Pie and is powered by the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor coupled with Adreno 630 GPU. The phone comes with 6GB RAM with 128GB storage, 8GB with 128GB storage and 8GB with 256GB storage options.

The Oppo A5 was launched in August last year for Rs 14,990 for 32GB storage variant. Later it received a price cut of Rs 1,000 after which the price was brought down to Rs 13,990. Now after a further price cut, the phone is available for Rs 11,990

Oppo A5 features a 6.2-inch HD+ display with a screen resolution of 1520 x 720 pixels along with a 19:9 aspect ratio. The phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 octa-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz along with Adreno 506 GPU. The phone has 4GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage and comes with an expandable storage option of up to 256GB via card slot.

Oppo A5 is fueled by 4230mAh battery which claims to offer up to 14 hours of video playback and 11 hours of gaming playback. It runs Android 8.1 Oreo-based ColorOS 5.1. For optics, the Oppo A5 has dual rear cameras with a combination of 13-megapixel with LED flash, f/2.2 aperture and 2-megapixel with f/2.4 aperture. For the front, the phone has an 8-megapixel front camera with f/2.2 aperture.

Oppo F9 Pro

Oppo F9 Pro price was slashed again this month for the third time. The smartphone was launched in India in August last year for Rs 23,990. The phone received its first price cut in December last year and it was priced at Rs 21,990. After this, the phone receives another price cut of Rs 2000 in February this year and it retails for Rs 19,990. Now after the third price cut of Rs 2,000, the smartphone is now available at a price tag of Rs 17,990.

Oppo F9 Pro feature a 6.3-inch full HD+ (1080×2340 pixels) LTPS TFT display and 90.8% screen-to-body ratio. It is powered by MediaTek Helio P60 processor with Mali-G72 GPU. The device has a 25-megapixel front camera with f/2.0 aperture and AI technology support.

For the photography, the Oppo F9 Pro has a dual rear camera setup of 16-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor with f/2.4 aperture and LED flash. It runs on ColorOS 5.2 based on Android 8.1 Oreo and is backed up with a 3,500mAh battery.

Oppo A7

The Oppo A7 4GB RAM + 64GB variant was launched last year in November for Rs 16,990. After a price cut of Rs 1,000, the Oppo A7 is now priced for Rs 15,990. Later a new variant with 3GB RAM was launched for Rs 14,990. This variant also a price cut of Rs 1000 is now retailing at Rs 13,990.

Oppo A7 features a 6.2-inch HD+ IPS LCD waterdrop display with a resolution of 1520 x 720 pixels. It features a dual rear cameras with a 13-megapixel primary sensor with LED flash, f/2.2 aperture and 2-megapixel secondary sensor with f/2.4 aperture. At the front, there is a 16-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture.

Oppo A7 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor with Adreno 506 GPU. The based Oppo A7 runs on Android 8.1 Oreo-based ColorOS 5.2 and is backed up with a 4,230mAh battery. It also features a fingerprint sensor at the back.

Realme U1

Relame U1 3GB RAM + 32GB storage variant and the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variants have both received a price cut. Now the smartphone will be available for Rs 9,999 for 3GB RAM + 32GB storage variant and the 4GB RAM + 64GB variant is now priced at Rs 11,999.

In February, Realme U1 price was reduced to Rs 10,999 and Rs 13,499 respectively. So this time the phone has received a price cut of Rs 1,000 for the 3GB RAM variant and Rs 1,500 for the 4GB RAM variant.

Realme U1 features a 6.3-inch Full HD+ dewdrop display with a screen resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. It is powered by a MediaTek Helio P70 2.1GHz octa-core processor. It’s backed by a 3500mAh battery and it runs on Android 8.1 Oreo, which is based on ColorOS 5.2.

There’s a dual camera set up at the back which equips a 13-megapixel primary sensor with an f/2.2 aperture and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor with an f/2.4 aperture, coupled with an LED flash. For the front, there is a 25-megapixel Sony IMX576 sensor with f/2.0 aperture, 1.8-micron pixels, and 4-in-1 pixels tech and AI beautify feature that scans 296 facial recognition points and studio portrait lighting modes.

Nokia 1

The Nokia 1 was launched last year in India for Rs 5,499. Though its previous MOP (market operating price) was Rs 4,999. The price has now received a price cut of Rs 1,000 and now the phone retails at Rs 3,999.

Nokia 1 sports a 4.5-inch display with a screen resolution of 854 x 480 pixels. The device is powered by a MediaTek MT6737M 64-bit quad-core along with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of expandable storage.

Nokia 1 is backed by a 2,150mAh removable battery and runs on Android Oreo (Go Edition). On the connectivity front, it supports dual SIM, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, and GPS. The phone is a part of Android Oreo (Go Edition) and it runs on Android 8.1 Oreo. On the camera front, it features a 5-megapixel shooter on the back of the device and 2-megapixel selfie camera.

Realme 2 Pro

Realme 2 Pro was launched in India last year in three variants – Rs 13,990 for the 4GB + 64GB variant, Rs 15,990 for 6GB + 64GB option and Rs 17,990 for 8GB + 128GB model. Earlier this year, Realme 2 Pro received a price cut of Rs 1,000. Now, after the price cut of Rs 500, the base variant will now retail for Rs 11,990, 6GB RAM variant will now be priced at Rs 13,990 while the top variant with 8GB of RAM is now priced at Rs 15,990.

Realme 2 Pro features a 6.3-inch Full HD+ display with a screen resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels and 19:9 aspect ratio. There is a dual rear camera setup with primary sensor sporting 16-megapixel Sony IMX398 sensor, f/1.7 aperture and 6P lens, while the secondary sensor is used to create a bokeh effect. For the front, there is a 16-megapixel shooter with f/2.0 aperture and AI beauty mode.

The phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor with Adreno 512 coupled with 4GB/6GB/8GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB storage. The memory can be further expanded up to 256GB via micro SD card slot. It is backed by a 3500mAh battery with no fast charging.

Samsung Galaxy A7

The Samsung Galaxy A7 was launched at Rs 23,990 for the 4GB RAM with 64GB storage variant while the 6GB RAM with 128GB storage was launched at Rs 28,990. Now after the price cut, the Galaxy A7 4GB RAM variant is available for Rs 17,990 and the 6GB RAM variant is available for Rs 21,990.

The Samsung Galaxy A7 features a 6-inch full-HD+ (1080×2220 pixels) Infinity Display along with an 18.5:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by an Exynos 7885 octa-core processor clocked at 2.2GHz. The smartphone is fueled by a 3300mAh battery with adaptive fast charging.

The phone has a triple rear camera of 24-megapixel with LED flash, f/1.7 aperture, 8-megapixel with ultra-wide f/2.4 lens for wide-angle photos and 5-megapixel f/2.2 depth sensor. The front facing camera will feature a 24-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture and LED flash. For the software, the smartphone runs on Android 8.0 Oreo operating system with the company’s own Samsung Experience on top.

The Samsung Galaxy A9 was launched last year in two variants – Rs 36,990 and Rs 39,990 for the 6GB RAM/128GB storage, and 8GB/128GB respectively. Now after the price cut of Rs 5,000, the Galaxy A9 is now available for Rs 28,990 for 6GB/128GB variant and Rs 31,990 for 8GB/128GB variant.

Samsung Galaxy A9 features a 6.3-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity display with 1080×2220 pixels resolution. It runs Android 8 Oreo OS with Samsung Experience UI on top and it is fueled by 3800mAh battery with adaptive fast charging. The phone also features a fingerprint scanner on the back panel. It is powered by Octa Core Snapdragon 660 processor (Quad 2.2GHz Kryo 260 + Quad 1.8GHz Kryo 260 CPUs) with Adreno 512 GPU. The phone has 6GB/8GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage. The memory can be expandable to 512GB via micro SD card.

For the quad rear camera setup, the phone has a 24-megapixel primary f/1.7 aperture sensor, with a 10-megapixel telephoto camera that has 2x optical zoom, a 5-megapixel depth sensor, and an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera with f/2.4 aperture. Vivo slashed the Vivo Y93 price by Rs 1000. The Vivo Y93 is now available for a starting price of Rs 11,990 for the base 3GB + 64GB variant. On the other hand, the 4GB + 32GB model is priced at Rs 12,990. Prior to this, 3GB RAM and 4GB RAM models of theVivo Y93 were being sold at Rs 12,990 and Rs 13,990 respectively.

The Vivo Y93 features a 6.22-inch HD+ display with a resolution of 1520×720 pixels and a 19:9 aspect ratio and a screen-to-body ratio of 88.6 percent. The phone has a dual-camera setup that comes with a combination of 13-megapixel (f/2.2) primary lens and a 2-megapixel (f/2.4) secondary shooter with LED flash. For the front, the company has added an 8-megapixel selfie shooter with f/1.8 aperture.

The Vivo Y93 is powered by Octa-core MediaTek Helio P22 with PowerVR GE8320 GPU coupled with 3GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage. It also features a fingerprint scanner at the back. The phone is backed up by 4,030mAh battery and it runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with FunTouch OS 4.5.

Vivo Y95

Vivo Y95 was launched back in November last year for Rs 16,990. The smartphone received its first price cut in January after which it was available for Rs 15,990. Now again the smartphone has received a price cut of Rs 1000 after which the Vivo Y95 now retails for Rs 14,990.

Vivo Y95 features 6.22-inch notched HD+ display with a screen resolution of 720 x 1520 pixels and 88.6 percent screen-to-body ratio. For the camera department, the Vivo Y95 has a dual rear camera setup with a combination of 13-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor with depth effect. For the front panel, the phone has a 20-megapixel sensor with AI.

It is powered by 12nm Snapdragon 439 SoC clocked at 1.9GHz with Adreno 505 GPU coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB expandable storage. The phone also runs with Android 8.1 Oreo OS with Funtouch OS 4.5 skin is powered by a 4,030mAh battery. It has face unlock feature and a fingerprint scanner at the back.

Vivo Y91

Vivo slashed the price of Vivo Y91 by Rs 1,000. The smartphone was launched in January for a price of Rs 10,990 but can now be purchased for the new price of Rs 9,990 across Amazon, Vivo Store, Flipkart, Paytm and offline stores in India.

Vivo Y91 features a 6.22-inch HD+ Halo FullView display with a resolution of 720×1520 pixels. The smartphone has a 13-megapixel and 2-megapixel dual rear camera setup with f/2.2 and f/2.4 aperture lens respectively. On the front, it sports an 8-megapixel sensor with f/2.0 aperture.

The Vivo Y91 runs on Funtouch OS 4.5, which is based on Android 8.1 Oreo and it is backed up by a 4030mAh battery. It is powered by the MediaTek Helio P22 processor coupled with 2GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. The phone comes with a fingerprint sensor as well as a face unlock feature as security options.

Xiaomi Mi A2

Xiaomi has reduced the price of Mi A2 by Rs 2,000. The smartphone is now available for purchase at Rs 11,999. However, it is important to note that the price cut is meant for the 4GB RAM + 64GB of internal storage variant, while the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage option is still priced at Rs 15,999. This is the third price cut of the phone since its launch in August last year.

Xiaomi Mi A2 features a 5.99-inch Full HD+ IPS LCD display with a screen resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels and an aspect ratio of 18:9. Under the hood, the phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset along with Adreno 512 GPU. The device is backed by a 3010mAh battery with Quick Charge 4.0 fast charging support.

There’s a dual-camera setup at the back with a combination of the 12MP primary sensor with Sony IMX486 sensor, f/1.75 aperture and 1.25-micron pixel size and a 20MP secondary sensor with Sony IMX376 sensor, f/1.75 aperture and 1.0-micron pixel size. On the front, the phone has a 20 sensor with AI-powered features, including an AI Portrait mode.
