OnePlus at its launch event in New Delhi has today launched its latest flagship device, the OnePlus 6T. The OnePlus 6T comes in three variants – 6GB + 128GB storage option for RS 37,999, 8GB RAM + 128GB for RS 41,999 and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage priced at Rs 45,999 repectively. The phone will be available exclusively on Amazon India starting November 2.
This is the first smartphone from OnePlus that comes loaded in-screen fingerprint sensor. The company terms this feature as Screen Unlock and it claims it is the fastest in-screen fingerprint sensor in the world. OnePlus claims that in-display fingerprintsensor unlocks at just 0.34 seconds. The brand claims it is as secure as a physical fingerprint sensor. There is a waterdrop notch, which is similarly found in a range of Oppo and Vivo smartphones.
The latest smartphone from OnePlus features a glass design and it comes loaded with a 6.4-inch Optic AMOLED Display with 1080 x 2340 pixels resolution, 19.5:9 aspect ratio and Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection. There will be five colour settings including sRGB, DCI-P3, adaptive colours and more.
The smartphone is powered by the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 Processor coupled with Adreno 630 GPU. The phone will be available in different memory configurations: 6GB LPDDR4X RAM with 128GB UFS 2.1 storage and 8GB LPDDRX with 256GB UFS 2.1 storage options. For gaming experience, there is a Smart Boost mode that gives up to 20 per centfaster load time.
For optics, the company has added a dual-camera setup with a combination of 16-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.7 Aperture and a 20-megapixel secondary shooter with f/1.7 aperture. The Sensors support OIS + EIS and 480p slow-mo support. There is a new nightscape mode that enhances low light performance. The company says users can take photos in 2 seconds in Night mode. The new Nightscapemode will be available for OnePlus 6 pretty soon. The company has also introducedStudio Lighting mode for portraits, which is yet another inspiration from Apple’s Portrait Lighting.For the front, there is a 20-megapixel shooter with a f/1.7 aperture for selfies and video calling.

OnePlus 6T runs on Android 9 Pie with company’s close-to-stock user interface, OxygenOS, on top of it. The phone is backed by a 3,700mAh battery with the company’ssignature Fast Charge technology, earlier known as Dash Charge. On the connectivity front, it features 4V VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, GLONASS, NFC, and USB Type-C port.
