Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) with quad rear cameras launched in India starting at Rs 36,990

Samsung has today launched World’s first quad rear cameras smartphone – Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) in India. The smartphone is priced atstarting at Rs 36,990for the 6GB RAM version and the 8GB RAM version will cost you Rs 39,990. It will be available for sale starting November 28 and will be available for pre-booking from online retailersFlipkart,Amazon.in, Samsung Online Shop and Airtel starting today.

Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) will come in Bubblegum Pink, Caviar Black, and Lemonade Blue colour variants. For those customers purchasing the Galaxy A9 via HDFC Debit and Credit card, they will get Rs 3000 cashback.

Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) features a 6.3-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity display with 1080×2220 pixels resolution. It is powered by Octa Core Snapdragon 660 processor (Quad 2.2GHz Kryo 260 + Quad 1.8GHz Kryo 260 CPUs) with Adreno 512 GPU. The phone has 6GB/8GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage. The memory can be expandable to 512GB via micro SD card. It runs Android 8 Oreo OS with Samsung Experience UI on top and it is fueled by 3800mAh battery with adaptive fast charging.

For the quad rear camera setup, the phone has a 24-megapixel primary f/1.7 Aperture sensor, with a 10-megapixel telephoto camera that has 2x optical zoom, a 5-megapixel depth sensor, and an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera with f/2.4 aperture. The Galaxy A9 (2018) phone has a 24-megapixel front camera along with an f/2.0 aperture. All the cameras are backed by the company’s own AI camera software, dubbed Intelligent camera feature.

On the connectivity front, the Galaxy A9 (2018) features 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac (2.4/5GHz), Bluetooth v5, GPS + GLONASS, NFC (Optional) and Headphone jack. The phone measures 162.5 x 77 x 7.8 mm and weighs 183 grams. The phone also features a fingerprint scanner on the back panel.
