Nothing is rolling out the Nothing OS 3.0 Open Beta for Nothing Phone (2), as it promised earlier last month. The new major software update is based on Android 15 and brings several improvements and new features to Nothing smartphones.
Nothing announced the Nothing OS 3.0 Open Beta for Nothing Phone (2) via a Community post. The beta will be available beginning today. One can install it by following the steps below:
Ensure you have installed NOS version 2.6, build number should be Pong-U2.6-241016-1700
Navigate to Settings > System > Update to Beta version.
Tap “Check for new version” and follow the steps to get started.
If you’re unable to find a new version, or receive an error message, it means that a new version has not yet been made available

We already tested out these changes last month on our unit of the Nothing Phone (2a) running on Nothing OS 3.0 Open Beta. Nothing has already shared the full timeline of the Open Beta rollout for its other devices, including Phone (1), Phone (2a) Plus, and CMF Phone 1 set to receive it next month.
Xbox Support Virtual Agent has been introduced by the console maker which makes use of AI and acts as a chatbot for solving gamers’ issues. The AI chatbot by Xbox is not available for everyone at the moment, though. The chatbot is supposed to help players resolve their issues with Xbox related queries including those for its games.
The Xbox Support Virtual Agent is available only for Xbox Insiders at the moment, where they will see the Support Virtual Agent on the “Contact us” page on support.xbox.com. One can sign in with the same account they registered with the Xbox Insider Program, then they’ll see a new option to ask the new Support Virtual Agent a question.
Once you click on “Ask a question,” you will see the Support Virtual Agent launch in a new Browser window. You can ask the agent questions relevant to Xbox console and game support issues via text or voice, and it will answer with relevant information from support.xbox.com. If the Support Virtual Agent cannot solve the issue, you can request to speak with a live support agent as long as it is within Xbox Support’s normal hours of operation.
During this preview, you can also customize your support experience by clicking on the ellipsis menu icon and choosing between two different Support Virtual Agents.
Meanwhile, in related news to Xbox, it was recently revealed that the Xbox app on Android will be updated with support for buying and playing Xbox games directly in the app beginning later this month. The move from Xbox came shortly after a court ruling went against Google, allowing other companies to distribute their apps via an App Store present within the Google Play Store.

X-Ray Recaps is powered by Amazon Bedrock, a fully managed AWS service for building and scaling generative AI applications with foundational models. Utilizing a combination of Amazon Bedrock models and custom AI models trained on Amazon SageMaker, X-Ray Recaps analyzes various video segments, combined with subtitles or dialogue, to generate detailed descriptions of key events, places, times, and conversations. Guardrails are also applied to ensure the generation of spoiler-free and concise summaries.
As for how you can access it, you can launch X-Ray Recaps in Prime Video at any time from the detail page or during playback on the X-Ray experience. Once selected, you can choose from various types of recaps, including summaries of current episodes, the season so far, or the previous season.
X-Ray Recaps is now in beta and will begin to be available to Fire TV customers in the U.S. starting today, with support for additional devices coming by the end of the year. New leaks regarding Samsung’s next major software update have emerged online, suggesting that One UI 7 will support AI notifications and will also offer manual thermal throttling control. These will enhance the experience of One UI users a step further. Here’s everything to know.
One UI 7 is coming later next year, but a beta is likely scheduled to arrive by mid-November. Leaks suggest that One UI 7 will support AI notifications, a feature similar to Apple’s AI-based Notifications Summary which it has introduced in iOS 18. The leak comes from user Chun Bhai on X, according to whom, Galaxy AI now has a notification summary feature. The tipster disclosed that Samsung is calling the feature “AI notification” and it has been spotted in the latest One UI 7 build with version number ending with “XJW.”
Tipster Ice Universe, in a separate post, said that the “latest version of One UI 7, XJW, makes the previously leaked videos meaningless, because this version has changed a lot and is full of flexibility, and the previous versions can be thrown into the trash.” While he didn’t explicitly confirm the presence of the AI notifications feature, the significant changes made in the build could mean Samsung is indeed working on groundbreaking features.
If we talk to Apple’s implementation, it introduced Priority notifications, which appear at the top of the notifications’ stack in a grouped manner to surface what’s most important, and summaries help users scan long or stacked notifications to show key details right on the Lock Screen, such as when a group chat is particularly active. It helps users focus on the more important notifications.
Aside from that, Samsung could also introduce manual thermal throttling control in One UI 7. Thermal throttling is a safety feature that automatically slows down a device’s components to prevent overheating and damage. However, slowing down the device means the performance takes a major hit, resulting in scenarios such as frame drops in games. Giving users the control for disbaling thermal throttling could mean that Samsung is planning for users to decide for themselves whether they’d want performance with extensive heating or are ready to give up on it and prevent any damage to their devices.

Google has begun rolling out ChromeOS 130 update to eligible Chromebooks which brings a whole new set of features and changes, such as a new AI voice recorder App that’s similar to what we have seen in Google Pixel smartphones, Quick Insert feature, and much more.
Quick Insert provides a quick way to insert emojis, symbols, GIFs, Google Drive links, and quick calculations and unit conversions with a keyboard key (on select models) or a keyboard shortcut. In ChromeOS 130, a new shortcut Launcher + f is available on all ChromeOS devices to trigger the function. A new hardware key is initially available on the Samsung Galaxy Chromebook Plus only, but the Quick Insert key will launch on a range of devices in 2025, as announced by the company earlier in October.
ChromeOS 130 introduces the new Google AI-powered Recorder app to create transcriptions that can detect and label speakers, and provide a summary of recorded content. It also offers features like speech-to-text, content summarization, and title suggestions, all powered by Google AI.
A new Studio-style mic feature is also a part of the update, rolling out only to Chromebook Plus devices. The feature uses existing noise cancellation and de-reverberation effects, and further enhances them with advanced balancing, reconstruction of fine details, and room adaptation. Users who have enabled noise cancellation will get the Studio-style mic enhancements by default starting with this release. If a user wants to revert to the old noise cancellation-only effect, they can select the appropriate option in Settings > Device > Audio.
Appearance effects, that have been popular among the products of cameras, virtual meetings, and short videos for a long time and launched on some Google products, will now be available in Chromebooks for Video call controls. Reports online suggest that One UI 7 beta is arriving mid-November, and a bunch of rumours have already gave us our first look at what’s to come from Samsung for its next major software update based on Android 15.
In a post on X, tipster Ice Universe claimed that Samsung will “take another half month” until it begins rolling out the One UI 7 beta update. The post was made on November 1, which means one could say that One UI 7 beta is arriving mid-November. Samsung has internally delayed the beta twice in the past 3 to 4 months, likely due to major issues and bugs which made the software unstable even for a beta version.
