OnePlus TV confirmed to support Amazon Alexa voice commands

Amazon has listed the OnePlus TV’s Alexa Skill on its Skill Store.

OnePlus TV is launching this month and it will be available first in India. We’ve already come to know about a lot about the TV like it will run Android TV operating system, will get three years of Android TV updates and has a dedicated Google Assistant button on its remote. According to the latest report, the OnePlus TV will also come with support for Amazon Alexa.

Amazon has listed the OnePlus TV’s Alexa Skill on its Skill Store. The list shows all the different commands that can be used to control different aspects of the OnePlus TV, including powering OFF/ON, volume control, mute, Channel selection and input options.

The description on the Amazon Alexa Skill listing reads “You can control your OnePlus’ Android TV by voice. Turn off OnePlus TV, change the input source on OnePlus TV, control volume and more with Alexa”.

The commands mentioned on Alexa Skills are listed as follows:

POWER ON/OFF OnePlus TV

“Alexa, turn on OnePlus TV.”

“Alexa, turn off OnePlus TV.”

CONTROL VOLUME

“Alexa, set volume to 15 on OnePlus TV.”

“Alexa, raise/lower/adjust the volume by 20 on OnePlus TV”

MUTE/UNMUTE

“Alexa, mute OnePlus TV.”

“Alexa, unmute OnePlus TV.”

CHANGE CHANNEL

“Alexa, change the channel to 200 on OnePlus TV.”

“Alexa, next channel on OnePlus TV.“

“Alexa, change the channel to PBS on OnePlus TV.

CHANGE INPUT

“Alexa, change the input to HDMI 1 on OnePlus TV.”

“Alexa, change the input to Apple TV on OnePlus TV.”

“Alexa, switch input to HDMI 1 on OnePlus TV.”

“Alexa, switch input to Apple TV on OnePlus TV.”

Before this, the OnePlus TV remote leaked online revealing circular buttons for different commands, an oval button and a square-shaped area for navigation. The TV has also been confirmed to be powered by a dedicated ‘Gamma Color Magic’ image processor to offer a best-in-class image quality. The upcoming smart TV is also expected to come equipped with 55-inch 4K QLED screen, Dolby Vision and 50W sound output.
