OnePlus is all set to launch its first Smart TV in India in the month of September. Now, just ahead of launch, some key features of the upcoming Smart TV have been revealed on Amazon.
The Amazon listing page reveals that the OnePlus TV will be backed by a 55-inch 4K QLED screen. The listing also says that the Smart TV will come loaded with Dolby Vision. This will allow users to watch content with better contrast and brightness for enhanced viewing experience.
Furthermore, the listing suggests that OnePlus TV will come loaded with a whopping 8 speakers that will provide an output of 50W with “punchy bass to fill your living room”. Lastly, the Amazon listing reveals that the OnePlus TV will be equipped with Dolby Atmos, which will provide a cinematic sound experience.
Previously, the brand confirmed that OnePlus TV will get three years of Android TV updates. The news comes directly from OnePlus CEO Pete Lau who disclosed through a OnePlus forum post why OnePlus TV will be using Google’s Android TV interface and with that also confirmed that it will offer its users “Android TV updates for at least 3 years”.
The company is reportedly working on 55-inches and 65-inches models, which will be available in all markets. For the US and China, the brand is developing a 75-inch model, while the Indian market will get a 43-inch model. The company is also set to be working on both LCD and OLED panels for its upcoming Smart TV.
