OnePlus TV to have dedicated image processor

OnePlus TV will come armed with 8 speakers that will offer an output of 50W and will have Dolby Atmos tech, which will provide a cinematic surround sound experience.

OnePlus is going to launch its first-ever Smart TV in India later this month. In a new development, company’s CEO, Pete Lau, has announced through its official twitter account that the OnePlus TV will have a dedicated image called ‘Gamma Color Magic processor’ and this processor will provide the best-in-class image quality on OnePlus TV’s customised QLED panel with widest colour gamut.

The Tweet reads “I am proud to share news about the dedicated picture processor for the #OnePlusTV. We built the Gamma Color Magic processor to bring you best-in-class image quality on our customized #QLED TV panel with widest colour gamut. Can’t wait for you to experience it!”

Recently, few key features of the upcoming OnePlus’ Smart TV were detailed on Amazon India. As per the listing, the OnePlus Smart TV will come equipped with 55-inch QLED screen and will have Dolby Vision. The Dolby Vision will allow users to watch content with better contrast and brightness for immersive viewing experience. Further, listing confirms that theOnePlus TV will come armed with 8 speakers that will offer an output of 50W and will have Dolby Atmos tech, which will provide a cinematic surround sound experience.

Earlier, the OnePlus’ CEO, Pete Lau, had announced that OnePlus TV will run a modified version of Google’s TV platform and will get three years of Android TV updates.

Furthermore, OnePlus TV is expected to come armed with MediaTek MT5670 processor coupled with Mali G51 and 3GB of RAM. The OnePlus TV has already got SIG certification hinting towards the OnePluls sizes ranging from 43 inches to 75 inches. As per reports, the OnePlus TV will be available in four sizes- 43-inch, 55-inch (launching in India), 65-inch and 75-inch. For the US and China markets, the OnePlus working on a 75-inch model, while the Indian market will get a 43-inch model as well. As far as 65-inches model is concerned, it will be available in all markets.
