Samsung is months away from the launch of its 2024 foldables but that doesn’t mean we don’t know how they would look. Days after the design of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 leaked, we now have our first look at the Galaxy Z Flip 6 through high-quality renders. Here’s how the device could look at launch.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 Renders
The leak for the design of the Z Flip 6 comes from the same sources which gave us Fold 6 renders as well, which are Smartprix and OnLeaks.
Samsung introduced a major design change in Flip 5 over Flip 4 and that was the redesigned cover screen which was much more functional and practical, thanks to its bigger design. The Galaxy Z Flip 6 will carry forward the same design of the cover screen which is shaped like a PC Folder icon.
The cameras will be in the same position as the Galaxy Z Flip 5 while the buttons and port placement remain ideological too. However, the only major change would be the flattening of the frame, which will align with the Galaxy S24 and S24+ design, which also have an identical frame.
The inner display of the Flip 6 remains the same with nearly identical bezels as the Galaxy Z Flip 5. The leak states that the crease could be refined or may be completely omitted from this year’s foldables, including both the Flip 6 and the Fold 6 as well.
The Galaxy Z Flip 6 will have a the 3.4-inch cover screen and the 6.7-inch inner screen. Both screens should retain their 120Hz Refresh Rate and peak brightness as the Flip 5. Under the hood, the smartphone should run on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy chipset, with different memory and storage configurations.
It should run on OneUI 6.1.1 based on Android 14 out of the box. It will have Galaxy AI and could receive 7 years of major OS upgrades and security patches. The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 will also retain the same cameras from its predecessor, along with a bigger 4000mAh battery and 25W fast charging.

It seems that Jio Cinema, the video streaming service of Reliance Jio, has scrapped its Rs 999 annual subscription plan after merging with Disney+ Hotstar, the leading OTT platform in India. The move surprises many Jio Cinema subscribers who wanted to opt for the yearly plan to enjoy unlimited access to movies, TV shows, and live sports.
Previously, the JioCinema Website offered only one subscription plan that cost Rs 999 for a year. However, now the website only shows a new plan that costs Rs 99 for a month. If we do the math, the annual cost for this plan would be Rs 1,188. This raises the question, has there been a price increase for Jio Cinema’s annual subscription? We have asked the Jio team for clarification, but we are still awaiting their response.
However, the benefits of subscribing to the Jio Cinema monthly plan remain the same as the annual one, including the content being played at the highest possible video and audio quality and the ability to watch on 4 devices simultaneously.
The development came shortly after Reliance and Disney Star announced they would enter a joint venture. The combined company will be worth Rs 70,352 crore ($8.5 billion) after the merger. The majority shareholder of the company will be Reliance Industries, which will put in Rs 11,500 crore ($1.4 billion) to expand its business.
Reliance, Viacom 18, Star India TV channels, and Disney+ Hotstar India are now a part of the JV, thereby forming India’s largest entertainment company. The merged entity comprises Reliance, holding a 61% stake, while Disney holds a 39% stake. Together, they now have access to content, including those from Disney, Marvel, Star Wars, Warner Bros., HBO, Universal Movies and much more. This also gives them an upper hand over the competition, including ZEE, Netflix and Prime Video.
Itel earlier this month teased that the Itel P55T will be coming later in February and without making any noise, the brand launched the budget smartphone on February 28 in India. It comes as the world’s first smartphone to offer Android 14 (Go Edition) out of the box but is it worthy enough for your money? Let’s help you find out.
Itel P55T: Price, Availability
The Itel P55T is available in a single 4GB + 128GB model which is priced at Rs 8,199. It is already up for purchase on Flipkart in Astral Gold and Astral Black colours. There’s also a Aurora Blue shade which hasn’t been made available as of now.
Itel P55T: Specifications
The Itel P55T sports a 6.56-inch HD+ IPS display with a Resolution of 1612 x 720 pixels, 180Hz touch sampling rate and a Refresh Rate of 90Hz. It packs a Unisoc T606 SoC paired with 4GB RAM and 128GB of storage which is expandable via a dedicated microSD card slot. At the rear, it gets a dual camera setup including a 50MP main sensor and an AI sensor. There’s an 8MP front facing sensor for selfies.
The device is backed by a 6000mAh battery with 18W fast wired charging. It also gets a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security. Connectivity options on the device include 4G, Dual-Band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, a 3.5mm Headphone jack and a USB-C port for charging.
Itel P55T: Competition
For Rs 7,999, you get the Motorola Moto G04 (Review) that offers you a similar set of specs including Android 14, a similar display, same Chipset and storage amount along with 8GB of RAM which is twice of what Itel P55T offers. However, you do lose out on a bigger battery as the Moto G04 has a 5000mAh cell compared to the 6000mAh cell of the Itel handset.
For Rs 800 more, at Rs 8,999, you get the Moto G24 Power (Review) that offers you the same 6000mAh cell, a more powerful MediaTek Helio G85 chipset, stereo speakers, along with a water-repellent design that seems like a much better overall offering.

Just a day ago, we saw the Galaxy Z Fold 6 get leaked in high quality renders, which gave us our first look at the incoming redesign of the device. Now, a new leak suggests that there may not be one but two book-style foldable devices coming from Samsung for the first time in a single year, where the second one may be called the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra.
The report comes from WinFuture who suggests that apart from the regular flagship Galaxy Z Fold 6, which will have all the bells and whistles as usual, a “more expensive model will allegedly be added to the lineup of Samsung’s Foldables, which may be called Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra”.
The Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra would then serve as the top-end foldable from the brand, taking away the crown from the vanilla model as was the case in previous years. There have been rumours of a cheaper foldable coming from Samsung (possibly in the FE series) this year, but it seems like the brand has been developing a more expensive one, making the current one look cheaper in front of it.
As for exactly the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra will differ from the regular Galaxy Z Fold 6 is still unclear. Reports suggest that the Galaxy Z Fold 6 is being referred to as Q6 internally at Samsung, while the Q6A is expected to be the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra. Industry researcher Ross Young commented on the post on X, saying that the Z Fold 6 Ultra could carry pen input while the Z Fold 6 won’t.
This means that Z Fold 6 Ultra may have an in-built S-Pen slot, more like the Galaxy S24 Ultra while the Z Fold 6 won’t have that, as we also saw in the leaked renders. Other possible differences between the normal Galaxy Z Fold 6 and the Galaxy Z Fold 6 “Ultra” would include the display size, the storage equipment, different cameras and the option of a different battery equipment. In addition, Samsung could, of course, also rely on a different design for this variant.
A recent leak for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 didn’t show us how the device would look but gave us a description of the design. Now, a new leak from a credible source has emerged online which gives us our first look at the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 6 from Samsung in high quality renders, showing a design inspired from Samsung’s slab-style flagship.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Renders Leaked
The leak comes from Smartprix in collaboration with OnLeaks, which show the Galaxy Z Fold 6 in high quality renders. These renders suggest that Samsung is giving its Fold device the much needed redesign to align itself with the competition which is currently offering a better and more comfortable to hold design.
The Galaxy Z Fold 6 will adopt a Galaxy S24 Ultra-like boxy design with sharper corners and flat edges, compared to rounded edges in the previous models. The rear camera setup remains the same in terms of looks, but with the new design, the exterior screen will now have a more modern look that would also be similar to how slab-style phones look.
With Galaxy Z Fold 3, Fold 4 and Fold 5, the cover screen is unusually narrow which can be uncomfortable to use at times. Moreover, some apps don’t align well with that aspect ratio and with the Galaxy Z Fold 6, that’s about to change. The phone retains the same ports on the top and the bottom, comprising three microphones and a speaker grill at the top while a USB-C port, another microphone, and a speaker grill at the bottom.
The outer display will measure 6.2-inches while the inner panel will measure at around 7.6-inches. This means that while the display size remains the same as its predecessor, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 will have a refreshed aspect ratio. On the disappointing side, there’s no S-Pen slot to store the stylus within the device itself, as some earlier leaks had suggested.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6: Specifications (Rumoured)
According to the leak, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 will have a 6.2-inch Dynamic AMOLED cover display and a 7.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED inner display, both of which will support 120Hz refresh rate. At the front, it could use the Corning Gorilla Armour for cover display protection while the inner panel should use Samsung’s Ultra-thin glass. Both the panels may boast of up to 2600 nits peak brightness.
In addition, it will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Chipset paired with 12 or 16 GB of RAM and up to 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage. The phone should have a 50 MP + 12 MP + 10 MP camera system on the rear, a 10 MP selfie camera, and a 4 MP under-display camera on the inner screen, similar to its predecessor.
The battery size could be 4600mAh and the charging speed could be 25W. The phone will also ship with One UI 6.1.1 based on Android 14 out of the box and should get 7 major OS updates and 7 years of security updates. It should also have the Galaxy AI features pre-installed.

iQOO Neo 7 Pro, launched around eight months back, was one of the most value-for-money devices of 2023 and even scored first in the top 3 Vivo & iQOO devices of last year in our report card. iQOO has followed up on that handset with the Neo 9 Pro, priced at Rs 35,999. Does it offer the same value that Neo 7 Pro had to offer, or does it fall short of expectations this time? We have an answer for you that you can find by the end of our iQOO Neo 9 Pro Review.
iQOO Neo 9 Pro: Fiery Looks
The iQOO Neo 9 Pro has two colour options: black is the subtle one, while the ‘Fiery Red’ gives you the head-turner design. iQOO sent us the latter for review, and as we said in the first impression of the iQoo Neo 9 Pro, the design of the Neo 9 Pro is one of the best we have seen from the brand in recent times. The dual-tone leather finish with a stitching effect accounts for a premium feel in the hand, slightly disrupted by the plastic frame.
Cost-cutting seems to be the reason behind using a plastic frame that doesn’t match the premium vibe. However, the buttons are tactile enough, while the Haptics are also strong. The sound from the stereo speaker setup is majorly treble-driven with little to no bass but is adequately loud.
As the device is on the narrower side, it feels comfortable in the hand and due to the plastic frame, iQOO was able to keep the device lightweight as well. You can also reach either of the sides with one hand. There’s also an IR blaster up top, which works as it should. Overall, the iQOO Neo 9 Pro does compromise a little in build quality with a plastic frame but makes up for it with a pleasant in-hand feel and premium leather finish on the back.
In terms of competition, the OnePlus 12R is the brand’s only major competitor in this segment. If we compare the price of both, OnePlus gets you a glass and aluminium design for a higher price tag. However, if we were to compare both, we would pick the iQOO Neo 9 Pro due to the distinctive look of the device.
iQOO Neo 9 Pro: Impressive Display
The iQOO Neo 9 Pro gets you a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED Display with a 1.5K (1260 x 2800 pixels) resolution, HDR10 support, 2160Hz PWM dimming and up to 1400 nits brightness and up to a 144Hz refresh rate. iQOO also provides you with an option to change the Resolution of the display within the device settings and keep it to full-HD+ for a better battery backup.
As for the quality of the panel, we are happy to report that iQOO didn’t do any cost-cutting in this segment. During the review of the iQOO Neo 9 Pro, it was a treat to watch content on the display, not just because of the vivid colour reproduction and ample brightness but also because it supports MEMC technology, which works in apps like YouTube, Prime Video, and Netflix.
Due to this, the shows were upscaled to 60 frames per second, making them look even better. However, the MEMC tech doesn’t work perfectly, as I could easily notice the frames often dropping, which sometimes served as a distraction. The viewing angles were impressive, too, and not to forget, the slim bezels added to the aesthetic appeal as well.
The OnePlus 12R gets you a similar spec panel, but it’s curved and offers a lower 120Hz refresh rate. Curved versus flat panels is a debate we are saving for another day, but considering the price, we think iQOO did a better job again.
iQOO Neo 9 Pro: Performance Always On Steroids
Performance is an aspect iQOO is proud of the most with its devices, and Neo 9 Pro is no exception. The iQOO Neo 9 Pro always seemed to be on steroids during our review, and that was expected as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Processor is doing all the heavy lifting. The same Chipset powered last year’s flagships from top brands like Samsung, and we have nothing to complain about Neo 9 Pro’s performance.
With up to 12GB LPDDR5x RAM and 256GB UFS 4.0 storage, paired with a processor that can handle anything you throw at it, there’s no chance that iQOO Neo 9 Pro would ever break a sweat even during the heaviest of workloads. RAM management was exceptional, while the gaming performance of the handset was top-notch, coupled with gaming-specific features like 4D game vibration, notification blocking, E-sports mode, Game frame interpolation, Game super-resolution and more.
Call of Duty: Mobile could run at the maximum graphics and frame rate possible without a single stutter. The screen responsiveness was also relatively high during times when there was a lot of on-screen action involved. The heating was well under control, and the iQOO Neo 9 Pro never got too hot during our review while doing tasks such as gaming.
While this was all the good stuff, there’s some sub-par stuff, too, and you probably know what we are referring to. The software has always been iQOO and Vivo’s weaker link, pulling down an otherwise excellent handset.
To some extent, that happens with the Neo 9 Pro, too, thanks to some bugs, such as where the lock screen kept prompting me to swipe right even though the lock screen poster feature was turned off. Some animations fly here and there despite going to their origin when closing or opening an app. Moreover, for the first time, I experienced a network-related bug while reviewing an iQOO device where the Neo 9 Pro wouldn’t receive any calls or messages out of nowhere. To solve this, I had to turn on and turn off Airplane Mode post which the messages began coming in.
Otherwise, the connectivity performance, including Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, remained optimum. Regarding connectivity, Neo 9 Pro doesn’t offer NFC, which shouldn’t be a deal breaker, but it would be a welcome addition if it had been there. Customisation options remain the usual FunTouch OS, such as various animation styles, monet theming system, number of Always-on display styles and much more.
If we talk of the OnePlus 12R, it does offer inferior UFS 3.1 storage but has an EDGE in terms of software, which is much more polished than FunTouch OS. Aside from that, the Neo 9 Pro puts up a tough fight with the 12R.
iQOO Neo 9 Pro: A Battery Champ Too
The iQOO Neo 9 Pro packs a 5160mAh battery with 120W fast wired charging, and during our review of the device, the battery backup was outstanding. It can quickly run for two days on a single charge if used moderately, such as some amount of chatting, calling, using social media apps, browsing the internet, etc.
Even if you put it under some load, the Neo 9 Pro still doesn’t hesitate. It can still go on for more than a day. I was consistently able to get around 7 hours of screen-on time and slightly more, which is extraordinary. During heavy use, this could drop down to 6.5 or maybe even 6 hours, but the overall usage time always remained above 24 hours, and I could never kill it in a day.
With the included 120W charger, the iQOO Neo 9 Pro took about slightly less than 30 minutes to charge from zero to 100 percent.
The OnePlus 12R does have a slight advantage here as it gets a bigger 5500mAh battery but with slightly slower 100W fast charging.
iQOO Neo 9 Pro: Cameras That Don’t Disappoint
The iQOO Neo 9 Pro has a no-sense camera setup, which doesn’t include any unnecessary macro or depth sensors, but only a 50MP Sony IMX920 primary sensor and an 8MP ultra-wide angle sensor. On the front, there’s a 16MP sensor for selfies and video chats.
We already have a detailed camera review of the iQOO Neo 9 Pro live, but just to give you a gist of it, the handset doesn’t disappoint in this aspect too. In most of the lighting conditions, we were able to get a satisfactory shot that had an ample amount of details and without any noise of any sort.
The dynamic range is very impressive and the colours are handled naturally. Under low lighting, there always used to be some noise when shooting with iQOO cameras, but that has also changed this time around.
Even with selfies, the skin tones were accurate with good colours. However, the sharpness and the overall detailing could have been slightly higher than the current levels. Also, the edge detection of the bokeh effect is in a hit-or-miss situation in portrait selfies.
