Qualcomm has announced a new lower mid-range chipset dubbed the Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 Processor based on a 6-nanometer process. While it doesn’t bring on-device AI capabilities such as other 7 Gen and 8 Gen series processors from Qualcomm, it does sport upgraded performance over its predecessor.

Snapdragon 6s Gen 3: Specs

The Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 consists of a Kryo CPU which has a clock speed of up to 2.3Ghz. Specific details about the CPU structure are unclear as for now. There’s an Adreno GPU for all the graphical needs. The chip is based on a 6nm process for better efficiency. The Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 also gets a dedicated AI engine which features a low-power, always-aware Qualcomm Sensing Hub for increased convenience and security. For memory, it supports LPDDR4x RAM at up to 2133 MHz along with UFS 2.2 storage.

The chip supports Multi-mic far-field detection and echo cancellation to ensure your voice is heard clearly on calls. Camera capabilities include triple 12-bit ISPs allowing up to 108MP photo capture, 25MP + 13MP dual camera support, and 13MP triple camera capabilities. There’s support for 1080p Resolution at 60fps video recording as well. For connectivity, there’s Bluetooth 5.2 and Wi-Fi 6E. There’s support for Quick Charge 4+, USB-C, and 120Hz frame rate at FHD+ display resolutions.

For audio, it packs Qualcomm’s Aqstic codec and smart speaker amplifier. It further supports low-power audio subsystem, along with Hi-fi audio as well. For connectivity, it gets the Snapdragon X51 5G Modem-RF System with 5G multi-SIM support. Up to 2.5Gbps download speeds are supported on 5G.

Then it also has the Fastconnect 6200 system with Wi-Fi 5 support, 2×2 MIMO configuration, and Bluetooth v5.2. For location positioning, it supports GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, Galileo, Navic, QZSS and Dual-Frequency GNSS (L1 + L5). Qualcomm Trust Management Engine is also supported.

Nothing sub-brand CMF has officially teased its upcoming smartphone, which will also be a first for the brand and will be dubbed CMF Phone 1. The smartphone from CMF is rumoured to be an affordable option in the market with a primary focus on design. It will be available in an orange colour option, which is the signature shade of the brand.

Teased via CMF’s X account, the CMF Phone 1 is labelled as “Coming Soon.” “Leveraging @nothing’s innovation and meticulous attention to design, it serves as a wonderful entry point to our entire product ecosystem,” said the brand in the post. The handset’s bottom right corner can be seen having a rotating dial which will presumably support Lanyard attachment among others, similar to what we saw with the CMF Buds.

Aside from that, the device can be seen having a vegan leather back panel in the bright orange shade. Orange has been the brand’s signature shade since its inception last year, where all of its products till date are available in the said colour. Nothing also teased a new product a few days back which appears to be the bottom left side of a product.

However, its not confirmed whether it is for the CMF Phone 1 or some other device. What we do know is that its not Nothing Phone (3), as that has been confirmed to launch in 2025. If it indeed is CMF Phone 1, then that could be pointing towards different finishes for each colour, as Nothing’s teaser has a black device with a matte finish.

CMF Phone 1: Expected Specs

The CMF Phone 1 is expected to be a watered down version of the Nothing Phone (2a). It will purportedly pack a 6.7-inch OLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz. While the bezels are tipped to be uniform on all sides, they may be thicker than that of Phone (2a).

The device will likely be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7200 SoC, paired with 6GB RAM. It is said to be available in two storage variants: 128GB and 256GB, both expected to be UFS 2.2. Storage expansion via a microSD card will also be supported.

The smartphone could run on NothingOS 2.6.0. However, what it won’t get is the glyph interface, as seen on Nothing smartphones. In terms of optics, the handset is rumoured to feature a dual camera setup at the back with a 50MP primary camera and a 50MP ultra-wide sensor, while it may have a 16MP selfie shooter on the front. The CMF Phone 1 may house a 5,000mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging.

Vivo X Fold 3 Pro: Price, Availability, Launch Offers

The Vivo X Fold 3 Pro has launched in India for Rs 1,59,999 for the sole 16GB + 512GB model. It will be available in a single Celestial Black shade beginning June 13. Pre-booking for the device has already begun on Vivo’s own website, Amazon, Flipkart, Vivo exclusive offline stores and at other offline retail partners such as Croma, Reliance Digital and more. SBI and HDFC bank card users can get an instant discount of Rs 15,000. Users can also get up to Rs 10,000 off with the exchange offer.

Vivo X Fold 3 Pro: Specifications

The Vivo X Fold 3 Pro also has an 8.03-inch inner display with a Resolution of 2480 x 2200 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. It is a Samsung E7 panel that can reach up to 4,500 nits of local peak brightness. The cover display is 6.53-inch in size with a resolution of 1172 x 2748 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate, supporting the same 4,500 nits of peak brightness. The panels support Dolby Vision and HDR10+.

Under the hood, X Fold 3 Pro is powered by Qualcomm’s latest and most powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 512GB UFS 4.0 storage. For optics, it gets a 50MP ultra-sensing primary sensor with an f/1.68 lens paired with OIS, a 50MP f/2.0 ultra-wide angle lens and a 64MP Zeiss 3x telephoto camera with an f/2.57 aperture, all paired with the Vivo V3 Imaging chip. For selfies, there’s a pair of 32MP f/2.4 sensors, one on the external display and the other on the internal screen.

It is backed up by a 5700mAh battery with 100W fast wired charging, 50W wireless Fast charging and 5W reverse wireless charging. For biometrics, it gets 3D ultrasonic dual-screen fingerprint sensor. Connectivity options on the handset include Dual 5G, Bluetooth v5.4, Wi-Fi 7, Dual-SIM 5G, GPS, IR Blaster, NFC and a USB-C 3.2 Gen2 port. The handset is also IPX8 rated for water resistance and has stereo speakers. It runs on FunTouch OS 14 based on Android 14 with AI features powered by Google’s Gemini Pro AI model.

Lava Mobiles has been on a launch spree for a while now and one of its mid-rangers, the Blaze Curve 5G that debuted in March earlier this year, is now set to receive the Android 14 update. It comes at a time when brands like OnePlus, Nothing, Realme, and others have released Android 15 beta for their handsets.

Lava took to X to announce that “Android 14 upgrade is available on Blaze Curve.” However, users will have to register to try out the Android 14 update via a trial program on their Lava Blaze Curve 5G units before the update rolls out to the public. To register, users will have to enter their details on the beta registration page via the link shared by the brand. Once done, they should ideally receive the update on their unit shortly after.

This release timeline stands in line with what we reported back in April this year, where Lava International CEO Sunil Raina confirmed to The Mobile Indian that models such as the Lava Blaze Curve 5G and those eligible for the Android 14 update, will all receive it in the next 2 to 3 months.

However, Lava is still behind in the software updates race as other brands are close to wrapping up the Android 14 release schedule for their devices and have begun focusing on Android 15 Beta. While the brand majorly fixed most of the issues we had with its software in the Blaze Curve 5G that we noted during our review of the handset, it still has to work on releasing updates faster than its current rate.

The brand hasn’t shared the exact release timeline for the public rollout of the Android 14 update for Blaze Curve 5G. The Agni 2 5G received the stable update earlier in April itself. In related news to the brand, it recently launched the Yuva 5G smartphone in India. It sports a 6.52-inch HD+ IPS display with a 90Hz refresh rate, and a 720 x 1600 pixels resolution. It is also the first device in the country to be powered by the Unisoc T750 5G processor.
