It’s that time of the year again when you witness huge tech companies launching their flagship products. And Microsoft isn’t stepping back from the stage either as it schedules the next Surface hardware event on October 2 in New York City, the same way it did with the launch of the Surface Book 2. While updates to the current line of Surface products are likely, the Redmond giant could also introduce a new stream of gadgets for a grand unveiling.
It’s likely that the new launches could go the “solutions” way which could be software enhancements as well as hardware upgrades, meaning we could see new versions of Windows, Office and other Microsoft apps. Updates to the top-of-the-line Surface Pro convertible or Surface Book 2 laptop can also be expected with the latest hardware Intel.
The invite posted by Engadget doesn’t reveal much on what the event might be about and silly reads that the Redmond company needs “a moment of your time” with no hint or an image of a new product.
Microsoft could also debut a new Surface device since October is the time new hardware makes its way into the market.
Microsoft’s October 2 Surface event will come a few weeks after Apple will announce its latest hardware line including the new trio of 2018 iPhones, a new Apple Watch and maybe even new iPads on its September 12 event. Google will also be following up with an October 9 release of its new Pixel line of smartphones.
