Jio extends validity for JioPhone users, offering 100 minutes of calls and SMS till April 17 for free

All the JioPhone users will get free 100 minutes of calls and 100 SMS anywhere in the country till April 17th, 2020.

Keeping in view the Coronavirus situation in India, Reliance Jio has now extended JioPhone users validity. Now the users will now be able to receive incoming calls post validity expiration.

Additionally, all the JioPhone users will get free 100 minutes of calls and 100 anywhere in the country till April 17th, 2020. These offers are available to all JioPhone users across the country. The company has so far launched two JioPhones including the JioPhone and JioPhone 2.

With the current lockdown in place, subscribers are finding it difficult to recharge via physical retail stores. For those who are facing such issues, Jio has provided alternative channels to recharge, such as UPI, ATM,debit/credit cards, net banking etc.

For recharge through SMS/Call, Jio has tied up with Axis Bank and ICICI Bank. Axis Bank customers can recharge their Jio numbers by sending MOBILE<space>10-digit mobile number<space>Jio<space>amount<space>last six digits of their bank account to either 9717000002 or 5676782. Similarly, ICICI Bank customers can recharge their numbers by sending MTOPUP<space>Jio<space>10-digit mobile number<space>amount<space>last six digits of their bank account to 9222208888.

This development comes after recently Airtel announced prepaid pack validity extension and free Rs 10 talk time to 80 million users. Vodafone Idea, BSNL and MTNL have also announced an extension of the validity for prepaid customers.

Earlier this week Jio also announced its customers can recharge their mobile numbers from the nearest ATM in India. The facility is available at nine banks including State Bank of India, Axis Bank, ICICI Bank, HDFC, IDBI, DCB, AUF and Standard Chartered Bank in the country.
