With launch scheduled for May 16, Asus has now started teasing its upcoming Zenfone 6 smartphone, a clear two weeks ahead of the event.
In a tweet from its official Twitter handle, Asus showed a glimpse of its next-generation flagship – the Zenfone 6 with a tagline “defy ordinary”. As is clear from the picture shared by Asus, the Zenfone 6 could feature a bezel-less display, complete with no notch nonsense.

With the absence of a notch or a hole-punch on the display, we can assume that Asus could have gone with a pop-up selfie camera or a Xiaomi-like mechanical moving back panel. That is unless Asus has surprisingly found a way to embed a camera and relevant Sensors under the front glass.
As for what’s evident from the picture, we can witness that there’s an earpiece unit at the top, power and volume buttons on the right. And that’s pretty much it.
The phone recently got certified by the FCC and have been individually spotted on both benchmarking sites – AnTuTu and Geekbench.
If benchmarks are anything to be believed, we can expect the Zenfone 6 to be powered by a Snapdragon 855 Processor with a minimum of 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The phone will run on Android 9 Pie and will feature Dual-Band Wi-Fi and LTE. It might also come with a gradient finish, one of which could be a mix of orange and blue hues at the back, as soon through previous leaks.
The Zenfone 6 is also expected to equip a triple-camera setup at the back with and an in-display fingerprint sensor. The vertically-aligned triple-camera setup will be situated at the top-left corner of the device. There could also be a 48-megapixel sensor on the front for selfies and video calling.
