Asus isexpected to announce the Zenfone 6 series next month on May 16 which will include the Zenfone 6, 6Z and 6 Lite. Now ahead of the phone’s launch, the Asus Zenfone 6Z has been certified by FCC.
The Asus ZenFone 6Z has now been spotted on the Federal Communications Commission’s website with the model number ASUS_I01WD. The certification has revealed a few details about the design of the upcoming flagship.
As per the FCC listing, the Zenfone 6Z will only have 18W Fast charging support. The images in the FCC listing confirm that the phone will come with a dual camera setup on the back. The rear of the device also features a square-shaped fingerprint sensor placed below the camera module. Apart from this, the listing has not revealed anything about the upcoming flagship.
Asus Zenfone 5z with model number ASUS_I01WD was spotted on Benchmarking site AnTuTu recently. It’s the same device which passed through Geekbench earlier and received WiFi certification last month.
As per the specs on multiple benchmarking websites, the Asus Zenfone 5Z will feature a full HD+ display with a Resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels. It will be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 mobile platform with Adreno 640 graphics and 6GB of RAM. The device will run on Android 9 Pie.
The Wi-Fi certification revealed that the phone will support Dual-Band Wi-Fi a/b/g/n (2.4GHz, 5GHz) and LTE capabilities. The phone is also expected to feature a bezel-less display with a punch-hole display.
