Asus launched the ZenFone 5 series at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) event in February last year. While almost all of the major brands have already showcased their devices, Asus has decided to stay silent this time. Now it has been revealed that Asus Zenfone 6 will be launched on May 16.
Asus has confirmed the launch date via its official Twitter handle. As per the tweet, Asus will be unleashing the ZenFone 6 on May 16 in Valencia, Spain. As per Asus, “the revolution is coming” and the new Zenfone 6 is going to “defy the ordinary”.

With the new Zenfone 6 series, Asus is likely to unveil successors for the ZenFone 5 Lite, ZenFone 5 and ZenFone 5Z flagship phone. As of now, no details about the specifications of the upcoming Zenfone 6 is known. We have to wait for few more days for the leaks to surface online.
Earlier, live images of Asus Zenfone 6 were leaked online revealing some key design details of the upcoming flagship. The live images revealed that this could be the first Asus smartphone to feature triple camera setup. Interestingly, the upcoming Asus Zenfone 6 might also come with a gradient finish. The leaked image revealed a gradient finish, which comes with a mixed tone of orange and blue. The triple-camera setup is situated at the top-left corner and it is vertically-aligned.
Further, there is a flash just beneath the camera module, while the Asus logo is at the centre of the back panel. The leaked image also showed that the Asus Zenfone 6 will feature a physical fingerprint sensor. The scanner is situated at the bottom of the front panel.
Meanwhile, Asus in partnership with Flipkart has announced four-day Month-end Mobiles Fest starting from February 25th to Thursday 28th, 2019. For the sale, Asus has now revealed that it will be offering discounts on its ZenFone 5Z, ZenFone Max Pro M1, ZenFone Max Pro M2, ZenFone Max M2 and ZenFone Lite L1 smartphones. There will also be no-cost EMI options for a duration of 3 and 6 months with the purchase of all the Zenfone phones.
