Good news for Airtel users on a prepaid connection. The telecom operator is currently providing 5GB of additional data for its prepaid customers in certain circles, but there’s a catch.
The news comes as a text message pushed to Airtel prepaid users whose prepaid plans are soon to expire. The text reads that an additional 5GB of data will be provided if a user recharges before the expiry of their recharge plan. The offer appears to be available on recharge of Rs 249 which will offer users unlimited roaming, local and STD calling, 2GB data and 100SMS per day for a duration of 28 days.
The additional data offer also seems to be working on a recharge of Rs 199.
Airtel is also offering up to a 100 percent cashback on recharge of Rs 199. That cashback can be availed by clicking the link shared through a text sent by Airtel. Users will then be able to redeem the full cashback through coupons for future recharges which will be valid for at least 2 years. However, the 100 percent cashback can only be availed when recharging for Rs 199 through the My Airtel app.
Prior to this, Airtel introduced five new prepaid plans that give up to 126GB of data benefits to its users. The operator also partnered with JOP Network to launch Hollywood Masala – a collection of premium Hollywood movies dubbed in Hindi.
