Airtel has launched a new prepaid plan for its customers. Dubbed as Rs 181, this new prepaid plan comes with 14 days validity.
Telecom Talk reports, the new Rs 181 prepaid plan is available only for select subscribers, especially in New Delhi and a few other circles in North India. Under Rs 181 plan, the telecon is offering unlimited voice calls without any FUP limit and 100 SMS per day for the entire validity period. Additionally, the plan also offers Rs 3GB 2G/3G/4G data per day, means you are getting a total of 42GB data for the entire validity period and the per GB cost is down to about Rs. 4.3.
The new Airtel plan competes with Reliance Jio offer of Rs 198 which comes with a validity of 28 days. The prepaid Jio plan offers 2GB data per day, unlimited voice calls without any limit and 100 SMS per day and complimentary subscription to Jio’s suite of apps for 28 days. There is also a Vodafone prepaid plan of Rs 199 which comes with a validity of 28 days. It offers unlimited calls, 100 SMS messages per day, and just 1.4GB data per day. There is another Airtel plan of Rs 199 also which offers 1.4GB data per day with unlimited calls and 100 SMS per day, with a validity of 28 days.
Airtel excels here as it is offering 3GB data per day as compared to Jio’s 2GB data per day. But is is to be noted here that the Airtel plan has a validity of just 14 days, from the date of recharge, which is half the validity of Jio’s plan. On the other hand, Jio offers data benefits of 56GB for its whole recharge pack.
Meanwhile, in a related story, Airtel recently introduced six new Smart recharge prepaid plans for its users. The telecom operator has introduced Rs 25, Rs 35, Rs 65, Rs 95, Rs 145 and Rs 245 plans.
