Samsung Galaxy Tab S5 spotted on Geekbench with Snapdragon 855

Samsung Galaxy Tab S5 is expected to be the successor of last year's Samsung Galaxy Tab S4.

Samsung launched Galaxy Tab S4 in India last year for Rs 57,900. Now the company seems to be working on its successor which is dubbed as Samsung Galaxy Tab S5. The upcoming tablet has now been spotted on the Geekbench website revealing its key specs.

The device has surfaced on the GeekBench listing with model number SM-T865. The Galaxy Tab S5 will be powered by Snapdragon 855 octa-core processor. In addition to the chipset, the Geekbench listing also confirms that the tablet will feature 6GB of RAM.

For the software, the Galaxy Tab S5 will run Pie out of the box. In the GeekBench listing, the tablet has scored 3506 points in the single-core and 9788 points in the multi-core test.

To recall, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 features a 10.5-inch WQXGA Super with a screen resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The memory can be further expanded up to 400GB via card slot.

For optics, the tablet comes with a 13-megapixel rear camera along with LED flash, while for the front, there is an 8-megapixel selfie shooter for video calling. The Galaxy Tab S4 is backed by a 7,300mAh battery along with support. In the audio department, the Galaxy Tab S4 is equipped with four speakers tuned by AKG and Dolby Atmos technology.
