Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 with S Pen, DeX support launched in India

The new tablet will be exclusively available on Amazon starting from October 20. As a part of the launch offer, HDFC Bank users will get Rs 5,000 cashback. The tablet also comes with Jio cashback offer of Rs 2,750, which can be redeemed on the recharge of Rs 198 and Rs 299 plans.

Samsung has announced the launch of its latest tablet in India. Dubbed as Galaxy Tab S4, the tablet comes with a price tag of Rs 57,900 and it will be available on Samsung Online Shop along with leading offline stores in the country.

 

The new tablet will be exclusively available on Amazon starting from October 20. As a part of the launch offer, HDFC Bank users will get Rs 5,000 cashback. The tablet also comes with Jio cashback offer of Rs 2,750, which can be redeemed on the recharge of Rs 198 and Rs 299 plans. Further, Samsung will be selling Keyboard Book Cover for Rs 7,499, though the simple Book Cover is priced at Rs 3,999. Lastly, the Pogo Charging Dock comes with a price tag of Rs 3,499.

 

To recall, the tablet was introduced in August this year and the tablet major highlight is the inclusion of S Pen and support for Samsung DeX. The S Pen is a large stylus and it can be also used as a trackpad. It comes with 4,096 pressure levels and a pen tip of 0.7mm diameter There is a Screen-off Memo feature that allows users to navigate, translate and organise notes. Moving to Samsung DeX, it is the first tablet that utilises this feature. One can connect the tablet to an external display through an HDMI to USB Type-C multi-port adapter and use it as a full-fledged PC.

 

Coming to the specifications, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 features a 10.5-inch WQXGA Super AMOLED display with a screen resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels, 16:10 aspect ratio. The tablet is powered by an older Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The memory can be further expanded up to 400GB via microSD card slot.

 

For optics, the tablet comes with a 13-megapixel rear camera along with LED flash, while for the front, there is an 8-megapixel selfie shooter for video calling. The Galaxy Tab S4 is backed by a 7,300mAh battery along with fast charging support. For audio, it is equipped with four speakers that are tuned by AKG and comes with Dolby Atmos technology. On the connectivity front, you get Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Wi-Fi Direct, MIMO, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, USB Type-C, and a POGO connector.
