We already know that Samsung is working on its Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018). The tablet was spotted on Geekbench benchmarking website with model number SM-T387V sometime back. Now the tablet renders have been leaked online. The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018) tablet will be the successor of the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) which was launched last year.
The leaked renders published by Dutch website NieuweMobiel show the front side of the tablet without a physical home button. Samsung also seems to have slimmed down the top and bottom bezels. From the image, it looks like the tablet will have curved glass on the front.
The right side of the tablet will feature power and the volume rocker buttons while on the left, there lies a microSD card slot. The rear panel of the tablet also shows the single rear camera, which is not accompanied by an LED flash.
There is another render showing the Galaxy Tab A8.0 (2018) on the left and its predecessor Galaxy Tab A8.0 (2017) on the right. The ‘Samsung’ branding on the front is also missing in the upcoming tablet. Instead, it now lies on the device’s back. Also, the new model appears to be smaller than its predecessor
The front of the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018) shows the date as August 9 which is the same date as the official announcement of Samsung Galaxy Note 9 at an Unpacked event in NewYork. So it might be a possibility that the upcoming tablet might also get unveiled on the same date.
In the earlier GeekBench listing, the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018) got 653 points in single-core test and in multi-core test it received 1831 points. As per the listing on Geekbench, the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018) has 2GB RAM and 1.40 GHz octa-core Processor (Snapdragon 430 expected). The tablet is based on the Android 8.1.0 Oreo operating system with Samsung’s custom UX layer on top.
Meanwhile, Samsung is prepping up for the launch of Samsung Galaxy Tab S4. The tablet is most likely during this year’s IFA event in Berlin starting August 31. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 will launch in Black and Grey colour options. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 will feature a 10.5-inch QHD display with a Resolution of 2,560 x 1,600 pixels and an aspect ratio of 8:5. It will have 4GB RAM and Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 1.90 GHz octa-core processor. The device will be based on the Android 8.1.0 Oreo operating system with Samsung Experience version 9.5 and 7300mAh battery. It will have a 13-megapixel rear camera with flash and an 8-megapixel front camera.
