OnePlus has now OxygenOS Open Beta update to OnePlus 6 and 6T smartphones. The OnePlus 6T has received OxygenOS Open Beta 15 and the OnePlus 6 has received OxygenOS Open Beta 23.
The update brings in the most expected DC Dimming which enables the phone’s screen to not flicker at low brightness settings. The DC Dimming feature uses DC voltage to control the light output of the LED. It comes as an alternative to the existing Pulse Width Modulation (PWM). You can turn it on by going to Settings > Utilities > OnePlus Laboratory > DC Dimming. DC Dimming debuted on the OnePlus 7 Pro and was later added to the OnePlus 7 in an update.
Apart from DC dimming feature, the update also brings new features to Screen Recorder and Weather, some general bug fixes and stability improvements. The latest OxygenOS beta update for the OnePlus 6 and 6T is about 275GB also includes the latest Android security patch for July, 2019.
