Reliance Jio has shaken up the Indian telecom market with its ultra-cheap plans and free voice calling offer has already started a data war among the operators. And to be at the top of the podium, the company has now revised the majority of its plans as a part of ‘Republic Day 2018’ offer, to provide additional data at a discounted price. The new plans will be available to customers starting from January 26.
To start with, under the 1.5GB/day data pack, Reliance Jio’s has slashed the price of Rs 199 and it is now available at a price of Rs 149 and increased the 1GB/day to 1.5GB/day. With this offer, users will be entitled to 1.5GB of 4G data per day with a validity of 28 days, making a grand total of 42 GB of 4G data.
Similarly, the company has slashed the price of its most popular of Rs 399 plan and it is now available at Rs 349. The offers give 105GB of data with a daily FUP limit of 1.5GB data per day. The pack comes with a validity of 70 days.
Apart from this, Reliance Jio has slashed the price of Rs 459 and Rs 499 and it is now available for Rs 399 and Rs 449 respectively. The plans offer 126GB of 4G data and 136GB of 4G data respectively, with a daily FUP limit of 1.5GB data per day. Further, the former comes with a validity of 84 days and latter is valid for 91 days.

Coming to the plans which offer 50 percent more data benefits, the Rs 198 plan now offers 56GB of data instead of 42GB and it comes with a validity of 28 days. The Rs 398 plan now offers 140GB of 4G data instead of 105GB, while the Rs 448 and Rs 498 now offers 168GB and 182GB of data instead of 126GB and 136GB data respectively. These plans offer 2GB of data per day along with unlimited calling, SMS and Jio apps.
Meanwhile, earlier today, Airtel has also revised its three plans – Rs 199, Rs 448 and Rs 509.The packs now come with extended 400MB of 4G data which make the total of 1.4GB on daily basis. Earlier the 4G data was limited to 1GB/day. The Rs 199 plan has the validity of 28 days, while the Rs 448 and Rs 509 costumes will get a validity of 82 days and 90 days respectively.
Apart from this, costumers will get unlimited voice calls on local/STD/roaming networks. However, it is limited to 250 minutes per day or 1,000 minutes per week of calls. Once the limit is exhausted, then the person will be charged 30 paise per minute.
