Idea Cellular revises Rs 199 pack, now offers more data

Idea customers will now 28GB of data with a daily FUP (Fair Usage Policy) limit of 1GB data per day.

Idea Cellular has revised its popular Rs 199 plan, which it unveiled in October last year. Under the revised plan, Idea users will not get more data.

On recharge of Rs 199 pack, customers will now 28GB of data with a daily FUP (Fair Usage Policy) limit of 1GB data per day. Earlier, the same pack was offering just 1GB of 4G/3G/2G data. Apart from this, the pack offers the same benefits of unlimited voice calls and it still comes with a validity of 28 days. However, the unlimited calls do come with some restrictions as one only call 300 minutes per day and 1200 minutes per week.

With this Idea is all set to tackle Airtel and Reliance Jio as both of them are offering similar plans. In Airtel’s Rs 199 plan, users get 1GB of 4G/3G/2G data along with unlimited voice calls. Reliance Jio, on the other hand, revised its existing plans as a part of its ‘Happy New Year’ offer. Reliance Jio has slashed the price of Rs 199 and it is now available at a price of Rs 149.
