Idea offers 1GB data and unlimited voice calls for Rs 199

The news plans are meant to compete with Airtel Rs 199 plan and Reliance Jio Rs 149 plan.

After Airtel announcing its plan for Rs 199 recently, Idea Cellular has now announced two new tariff plans for its customers. Users will get 1GB of 4G/3G/2G data along with unlimited voice calls with a recharge of Rs 199 and 1GB of 4G/3G/2G data per day with unlimited voice calls with a recharge of Rs 357. The news plans are meant to compete with Airtel Rs 199 plan and Reliance Jio Rs 149 plan.

According to a report by Telecom Talk, the pack is meant for prepaid users and has a validity of 28 days. Further, users will have a restriction of 300 minutes per day and 1200 minutes per week. Additionally, the company has introduced the same plans at Rs 178 and Rs 338 for new Idea customers. As per the report, both the plans are valid for Himachal Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh & Telangana users.

While in Reliance Jio’s Rs 149 plan, the company is offering 2GB of data along with unlimited voice calls. Just yesterday, Reliance Jio has updated Rs 149 plan for its prepaid customers. Earlier, users used to get 2GB 4G data with unlimited calling for 28 days but now users will have the advantage of unlimited data along with unlimited calling at a reduced speed of 64kbps for rest of the validity days once the FUP limit is over.
