Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has launched a new plan, dubbed as BSNL FIBRO BB ULD 995 CS287, in Kerala for Rs 995.

Under this plan, BSNL users will get 20Mbps download and upload speeds, reports TelecomTalk. The pack comes with a FUP (Fair Usage Policy) limit of 200GB per month. Once the FUP limit is exhausted, users will get 2Mbps speed with this plan. BSNL says that the new plan will be available for a limited time and it is valid up to 90 days from the date of introduction. Further, users will get a free email ID with 1GB of cloud space.

However, it is important to note that the offer is currently available to users of Ernakulam SSA of Kerala circle and it is not available in other cities of Kerala state. Further, there are no calling benefits with this plan. New users have to pay Rs 500 as installation charges to get this new plan while existing users can simply migrate to this plan.

Meanwhile, the state-owned telecom operator recently introduced Rs 491 monthly plan for its broadband users. The new plan offers 20Mbps download and upload speeds along with 20GB of data per day. The plan also offers unlimited voice calls to any network.

However, the plan does not give many benefits to users as compared to other players like Airtel. The operator has a Rs 1099 plan, which gives up to 100Mbps internet speed to its customers along with 250GB of data. The company is offering bonus data of 1000GB, which is valid until October 31, 2018.

Apart from this, Airtel offers unlimited voice calls on local and STD networks and it also features data rollover facility, meaning that unused data will be carry forwarded to next billing cycle. Additionally, users get one year of Amazon Prime subscription as well.
