State-owned telecom operator Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) has revised its long-term Prepaid plan of Rs 1,699. The plan now comes with more validity period.
The revised BSNL Rs 1,699 plan now comes with 455 days of validity. Earlier the same plan was offering validity of 365 days. It means the customers will now enjoy 90 days of extra validity. As per TelecomTalk report, this is a promotional offer from BSNL which would be valid between August 14, 2019, and September 13, 2019.
This BSNL plan offers 2GB data per day, unlimited local, STD and Roaming calling and 100 SMS per day. The plan also qualifies for the Bumper Offer which offers 2.2GB of additional data per day. So the subscribers of this plan will get total data benefit of 4.2GB of data per day.
Meanwhile, BSNL has reduced the prices for its SIM card replacement charge by up to 50 percent. Earlier this year, BSNL increased the SIM replacement charges from Rs 10 to Rs 100 which is valid for both prepaid and postpaid customers. Now if you want a new BSNL SIM card, you will need to only pay Rs 50. This BSNL SIM Replacement price reduction has reportedly been introduced on a promotional basis, and would apply from August 1, 2019, to October 31, 2019.
Previously, BSNL imposed a daily calling cap on prepaid recharges including Rs 186, Rs 429, Rs 485, Rs 666 and Rs 1,699. With this, customers will get 250 minutes of calls for local, STD and national roaming. Once the limit is over, customers need to pay 1 paisa per second.
