Bajaj Pulsar 150 Classic launched in India at Rs 67,437

The machine lacks the graphics designs, split seat, rear disc brake, tank extensions near the shoulder area and will only available in Black Colour. With the new trim, the brand is trying to hit the tier-3 cities, to compete against the Honda Unicorn and the Hero Achiever 150.

Bajaj Auto has added a new member to its Pulsar family. Dubbed as the 2018 Bajaj Pulsar 150 Classic, the machine is available at a price tag of Rs 67,437, ex-showroom in Mumbai, which makes it Rs 10,118 cheaper than the standard Pulsar 150 variant.

It is worth noting, that the Classic trim is placed below the twin-disc Pulsar 150 unveiled this year in April. Powered by the same 149.5 cc displacement, DTS-i engine, the motor is said to chunk the maximum power of 14 PS with the peak torque of 13.4 Nm, which is further mated to a 5-speed gearbox.

Though the 150 Classic features the same engine specifications, the machine lacks the graphics designs, split seat, rear disc brake, tank extensions near the shoulder area and will only available in Black Colour. With the new trim, the brand is trying to hit the tier-3 cities, to compete against the Honda Unicorn and the Hero Achiever 150.

Meanwhile, the brand has discontinued its Pulsar 135 LS machine in India. It was powered by a 134.6cc, single cylinder, air-cooled engine, which has the ability to provide a power of 13.3 bhp and peak torque of 11.4 Nm. The Pulsar 135 featured a 240mm disc brake up front along with a 130mm drum brake at the rear.
