Weeks after unveiling its latest Kindle with adjustable front light for Rs 7,999, Amazon has launched the Echo Show in India. The Amazon Echo Show is a 10-inch smart display integrated with a smart Home Hub and Alexa assistant and can be purchased for a price of Rs 22,999.
Amazon is currently offering the Echo Show for an introductory offer that bundles the smart display with a Philips Hue bulb for free. The device can also be purchased through No-Cost EMIs across various banks and Citibank credit/debit users will be able to avail a cashback of Rs 2,000.
This is the second generation Echo Show smart display which comes almost two years after the launch of the first Echo Show in May 2017 and six months after Amazon globally launched the second iteration globally. The Echo Show comes with a 10-inch HD screen for streaming videos, TV shows and Movies. The display comes powered by Dual, side-firing 2 Neodymium for speakers with Dolby processing to offer deep lows and sharp highs.
There are eight ‘far-field’ microphones that can detect your voice in ambient sound conditions. Additionally, the Smart Display comes with a Zigbee smart home hub which lets you discover and control your smart home devices. There’s a 5-megapixel front camera which supports HD video calling with users sporting the Echo Spot, Echo Show or using Alexa on their smartphones.
The Echo Show can browse through inbuilt browsers Silk and Firefox, stream music through Gaana, JioSaavn and Amazon Prime Music, play you news briefings and sports update. Users can also use the device to book a cab through Ola, ask for daily horoscopes and find recipes when using the device handsfree.
The Amazon Echo Show will be available in Black and White fiber-textured bodies for a price of Rs 22,999 o Amazon India and select retail shops.
