A month after introducing Pay UPI on Android for Indian users, Amazon has now launched the All-New Kindle with a built-in adjustable front light for reading e-books during the day as well as the night. The new Amazon Kindle will be available on Amazon for an asking price of Rs 7,999.
Early-bird customers can avail a free two-year Device Total protection plan worth Rs 1,199 completely for no extra charge. Users can start pre-ordering the Kindle Now starting from today all the way till April 9 to avail the offer.
The new Kindle like its predeceasing e-book reader comes with a glare-free display and laser-quality text for easier reading. Additionally, it comes with a new adjustable front light that lets you adjust the display brightness to read comfortably in even more places—whether indoors at night or outside in the sun. Like other Kindle devices, the new reader also equips Whispersync, Goodreads, X-Ray, Smart Lookup and Prime unlimited access.
The all-new Kindle also includes updated electronic ink technology for better contrast and now uses capacitive touch to prevent accidental swipes on the six-inch, 167 PPI display. The e-book reader comes with a feature which automatically marks a book as read in your library and synced across your reading devices including Kindle and the free Kindle apps for iOS and Android.
Speaking about their latest announcement, Amazon Devices Director, Jayshree Gururaj said “Customers who have used the front light on the Kindle Paperwhite and Oasis appreciate being able to read their favourite books in bright sunlight as well as dark surroundings. We are excited to announce that we have now brought the built-in adjustable front light feature to our all-new Kindle along with other classic features that customers love for just ₹7,999”.
The Amazon Kindle will be available at an asking price of Rs 7,999 on Amazon India and can be bundled with a woven fabric cover for Rs 1,499 which are available in charcoal black, sandstone white, cobalt blue, and punch red colours.
