French electronics brand Thomson introduced a new 40-inch 4K Smart TV in India and it’s the latest addition to this lineup. The new Thomson 4K TV will be available for an asking price of Rs 20,999 on Flipkart starting from March 16.
Thomson’s latest addition to its TV lineup comes with 40-inch Samsung display panel with 4K resolution. The Thomson TV comes running Android 7.0 with 6 pre-loaded apps including YouTube which can play videos at 4K. The TV also plays content from Netflix and Amazon Prime Video and offers an Easy Share cast feature to mirror content from your phone to the big screen. The 40-inch Android TV comes with a 3-day weather report and also displays the latest and trending content about movies, TV Shows and music in 18 different languages.
Xiaomi Mi LED TV 4A Pro 49-inch @ Rs 29,999
Xiaomi is offering a mid-budget TV with the 49-inch Mi LED TV 4A Pro which was launched for Rs 29,999 last year.
The LED TV 4A Pro features a 49-inch Full HD display with HDR support, 178-degree viewing angle and a screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The 4A Pro is powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core Amlogic SoC with Mali-450 GPU, 2GB RAM and 8GB of onboard storage. There are dual 10-watt stereo speakers with DTS audio support and connectivity options are the same as that of the 4 Pro with the exception of a USB 3.0 port. The 49-inch Mi LED TV 4A Pro will be made available from October 9 for a price of Rs 29,999 exclusively through Flipkart and Mi.com.
Vu Android 4K TV 43-inch @ Rs 30,999
Vu recently launched four new Android 4K TVs and the base variant comes in a screen size of 43-inch for an asking price of Rs 30,999 on Flipkart.
The Vu Premium Android 4K TV comes with support for 4K, HDR 10-enabled content and equips Dolby Vision and Dolby Audio technologies. The TV is built with Titanium grey material and an OD22 slim design which minimises visual distraction. In order to offer a 4K resolution, the Vu TV utilises 4x upscaling, MPEG noise reduction, gamma reduction, adaptive contrast and smooth motion. For sound reproduction, the Vu TV comes with stereo speakers that support Dolby MS12 Audio and Dbx-tv technology. The TV runs on Android 8.0 Oreo which isn’t that dated and users will have full access to the Google Play Store to download their own content through apps. the interface is also preloaded with Eros Now, Hungama, SonyLIV, ZEE5 and Hotstar apps. The TVs will also be bundled with an ActiVoice Remote which will feature dedicated buttons for launching the Play Store, YouTube and Assistant. Users can use the built-in microphone to give voice commands to the TV to search and play content and also control connected devices.
Kodak 43-inch UHDX 4K Smart TV @ Rs 23,999
Early this year, Super Plastronics Pvt. Ltd. (SPPL), a Kodak brand licensee announced the Kodak 43-inch UHDX 4K Smart TV for a price of Rs 23,999 to be exclusively made available on Flipkart.
The Kodak UHDX 4K SMART TV is powered by a 1.4GHz dual-core processor. The TV is backed by a 1GB of RAM and 8GB of flash storage. The device comes with a special remote, which has dedicated buttons to YouTube, Netflix and Hotstar. The TV runs on the Android and comes loaded with Aptoide TV app store. In terms of audio, the Kodak TV comes with 2 10W speakers. There are different modes as well including Standard, user, music, movie and sports. The Kodak TV comes with LAN connectivity and one can also screencast their mobile devices to the television.
Xiaomi Mi LED TV 4A PRO 32-inch @ Rs 12,999
Xiaomi is offering two other TVs on the other end of the spectrum for the same price, but the Mi LED TV 4A PRO 32-inch is the more recent one. The Mi LED TV 4A PRO 32-inch was launched last month at an entry-level price of Rs 12,999. The TV is available on Mi.com, Mi Home Stores and Flipkart.
The Mi LED TV 4A PRO 32-inch offers an HD display with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels, 6.5ms dynamic response and a viewing angle of 178 degrees. It’s powered by a quad-core Amlogic Cortex-A53 processor with 750MHz Mali-450 MP3 GPU, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. The Mi LED TV 4A PRO 32 runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with Android TV and Xiaomi’s PatchWall interface. The TV equips 20-watt stereo speakers and features an intuitive Bluetooth remote, which features a built-in microphone, allowing for easy control with the addition of Google Voice Search. Connectivity options include Bluetooth 4.2, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, three HDMI ports, two USB ports, an ethernet port and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
