Samsung Galaxy M55s 5G Launched in India: Check All Details

0

Samsung has announced the launch of the Galaxy M55s 5G in India, with minor design changes over the Galaxy M55 5G while the specifications remain identical between the two. The new Galaxy M55s 5G has a 50MP OIS primary rear camera, a 120Hz sAMOLED display, and more.

Samsung Galaxy M55s 5G: Price, Availability

The Galaxy M55s 5G comes with a starting price of Rs 19,999 for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant while the 8GB RAM with 256GB storage model is priced at Rs 22,999. The device will be available on Samsung’s own website, Amazon India and other retail stores in Coral Green and Thunder Black shades. There is a Rs 2,000 instant discount available on all leading banks’ Credit/Debit Cards EMI and full payment. The device will go on sale from September 26.

Samsung Galaxy M55s: Specifications

The Galaxy M55s 5G sports a 6.6-inch 120Hz Super AMOLED panel with a full-HD+ Resolution (1080 x 2400 pixels), dragontrail glass protection and 1000 nits peak brightness.

It is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset, paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage which is expandable via a hybrid slot. The phone draws power from a 5,000mAh battery with 45W Fast charging support.

At the back, it gets a triple rear camera setup including a 50MP f/1.8 main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide angle f/2.2 sensor along with a 2MP f/2.4 macro sensor. At the front, it gets a 50MP f/2.4 sensor for selfies and video calls.

Connectivity options on the handset includes Dual-SIM 5G, Bluetooth v5.2, NFC, GPS, Wi-Fi 6, and a USB-C port for charging. Then, the handset also has stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support. It runs on Android 14-based One UI 6.1 and gets an optical fingerprint sensor for biometrics. The device will receive 4 major Android OS updates and 5 years of security patches.

With this pricing, Samsung has managed to undercut both the Galaxy M55 5G and the F55 5G, which were launched earlier this year. Despite offering identical specifications across all three models, the latest release comes at a lower price point, making it a more cost-effective option compared to the M55 5G and the Galaxy F55 5G. As all three of them are essentially the same devices, the performance of the M55s 5G should match the other two in all aspects.

Dual Screen Feature in Google Meet Now Available Exclusively for Pixel 9 Pro Fold

0

Google has introduced a new dual screen feature in Google Meet which is available exclusively on the Pixel 9 Pro Fold. The new feature allows the user to share both the video feeds from the front camera and the back camera, taking full advantage of the large display of the Pixel 9 Pro Fold.

Share via a Workspace updates blog post, Google said, “Through the use of the front and inner cameras, you can now show both yourself and what you’re looking at at the same time. Additionally, the person you’re video chatting with can be seen on both the inner and outer screens to include everyone around you in the call.”

In addition to showing video feeds from both cameras, the video of the caller will also be accessible on the outer screen. For instance, when you are on a call and the person around you wants to talk to the caller, you won’t have to give your device to the person but instead use this feature to show them the caller so the person could see and hear them and vice versa.

The dual screen feature in Google Meet is rolling out now and is available to all Google Workspace customers, Workspace Individual Subscribers, and users with personal Google accounts. Keep in mind that the feature is exclusive to Pixel 9 Pro Fold as of now.

Back in August, Google Meet announced a revamped design for its app, taking better advantage of the larger tablet screens along with a more immersive video calling experience on all devices. The redesigned Google Meet App has a new layout that includes call control buttons that mirror the meeting experience.

In addition, it expanded the video feed to encompass spaces where there were previously margins around the video feed. This helps provide a richer, more immersive viewing experience. It also introduced clearer indicators for information such as the meeting title.

Infinix Zero Flip 5G has leaked a couple of times in the past but the ultimate leak with all the details, including its design and specifications has surfaced online. The AMOLED cover display is 3.64-inches in size, with Always-on display functionality and a Resolution of 1056 x 1066 pixels.

The design of the handset shown in the materials shared by the tipster also resembles that of the Tecno’s latest foldable, but in different hues.

As per a previous report, the Infinix Zero Flip 5G could be priced between Rs 50,000 and Rs 55,000. This would make the Infinix Zero Flip 5G the cheapest foldable smartphone in the country.

Apple iPhone 16 Series Battery Capacities Revealed, iPhone 16 Pro Gets the Biggest Bump

0

Apple doesn’t believe in revealing the exact battery capacity for devices; instead, it gives us the number of times the devices can last during video or audio playback. Thanks to various certification websites, we get exact, reliable information regarding the battery capacity of iPhones, and the same has happened with Apple’s latest iPhone 16 Series battery capacities.

According to new regulatory information from Brazilian agency Anatel (via Blog do iPhone), the following are the iPhone 16 series battery capabilities:

  • iPhone 16‌ – 3,561 mAh
  • ‌iPhone 16‌ Plus – 4,674 mAh
  • iPhone 16 Pro – 3,582 mAh
  • ‌iPhone 16 Pro‌ Max – 4,685 mAh

Compared to last year’s iPhones, the iPhone 16 has a 6.3% bigger battery than the iPhone 15, which had a 3349 cell. The iPhone 16 Plus has a 6.6% bigger cell than the 15 Plus’ 4383 mAh battery, while the iPhone 16 Pro Max has a 4685 mAh cell that is up 6% from the 15 Pro Max’s 4441 mAh cell. The iPhone 16 Pro got the biggest upgrade, where the battery capacity went up by 9.4% from the iPhone 15 Pro’s 3274 mAh cell.

In addition, all the ‌iPhone 16‌ models support 25W MagSafe charging when paired with Apple’s new ‌MagSafe‌ chargers. Further, a recent certification from the China Quality Certification Centre, a regulatory body in China, confirmed that all iPhone 16 series devices support up to 45W fast wired charging. These models were tested charging at 5-15 volts and 3 amps, which converts to 45 watts.

The iPhone 15 models from last year maxed out at 27-29W, including the Pro versions, which means the charging speeds were considerably increased this year in the iPhone 16 series. On its website, Apple claims that the iPhone 16 series can fast charge up to 50% in about 30 minutes with a 20W Apple adapter or higher paired with a USB-C charging cable or a 30W Apple adapter or higher paired with a MagSafe Charger.

Honor 200 Lite 5G: Specifications

It is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 6080 Chipset paired with 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 256GB of in-built storage.

For cameras, the Honor 200 Lite 5G gets a triple rear camera setup including a 108-megapixel f/1.75 primary sensor with OIS, a 5-megapixel f/2.2 ultra-wide angle sensor, and a 2-megapixel f/2.4 macro sensor. The front camera is equipped with an 50-megapixel f/2.1 sensor.

The handset is backed up by a 4500mAh battery with 35W fast wired charging support. The handset boots Magic OS 8.0 based on Android 14. Connectivity options of the device include support for 5G, Wi-Fi 5, NFC, Bluetooth v5.1, and a USB Type-C port. The device gets a single speaker for audio.

Honor 200 Lite 5G vs Realme Narzo 70 Turbo 5G

Narzo 70 turbo 5g specs

Compared to the Realme Narzo 70 Turbo 5G, which goes up till Rs 18,999 for the 12GB + 256GB model, the Honor 200 Lite lacks behind in a couple of areas. While both of them have a capable display, Realme Narzo 70 Turbo’s panel has a higher refresh rate that makes for a lot of difference in real world usage. In addition, Realme’s device offers a far better chipset that would result in better performance, be it in daily use or when gaming.

The Narzo 70 Turbo also packs a bigger battery with faster charging, has an IP rating, as well as equips stereo speakers, where on the other hand, the Honor device has neither the stereo speakers nor an IP rating. Furthermore, Realme’s handset also has more RAM and costs only Rs 1,000 more which is a premium we feel is worth paying for.

The Honor 200 Lite 5G has only one advantage over Realme’s device, and that includes its cameras, which at least on paper, are quite superior to the dual camera setup on the Narzo. If you can compromise on that part, we feel Realme Narzo 70 Turbo 5G is a much better pick over the Honor 200 Lite.
