Xiaomi launched Mi Max 2 in India last year for Rs 16,999 and now Xiaomi is working on the upcoming Mi Max 3 smartphone. Keeping in mind that the launch timing of the first two Mi Max devices was in the mid of the year, the Mi Max 3 was speculated to also launch in the middle of 2018. And now we have a time frame period for the launch of Mi Max 3.

GizmoChina reports that Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun has revealed that the Mi Max 3 is estimated to be announced in July this year. Lei Jun has responded to a question on Chinese microblogging website, Weibo regarding the launch of Mi Max 3.

The smartphone already surfaced earlier this year with interesting features including wireless charging, iris scanner and more. And more recently, the images of a protective TPU (Thermoplastic polyurethane) case of the Mi Max 3 also surfaced online which revealed its design features. The images revealed that the rear panel of the phone will have a fingerprint scanner. At the top-left corner of the case, there is the cutout for a vertical dual camera setup which confirms the presence of a vertical dual-camera setup on the back.

The Xiaomi Mi Max 3 is said to come loaded with an 18:9 display and a 6.99-inch Full display. As per earlier multiple reports, the smartphone will be powered by Snapdragon 636 or Snapdragon 660. The Mi Max 3 will reportedly be running on Oreo that will be skinned with MIUI 9. The Mi Max 3 will come in two variants – 3GB with 64GB internal storage and 4GB RAM with 128GB internal storage.

The smartphone will be backed by a 5,500mAh battery and interestingly, it could feature wireless charging. As far as the pricing is concerned, the leaks have also revealed that the Xiaomi Mi Max 3 base variant will be priced at 1,699 Yuan which is approximately Rs 16,842.
