Xiaomi is all set to launch Xiaomi Mi 9 in China on February 20 and ahead of its launch company CEO Lei Jun has revealed some additional details for the Xiaomi Mi 9.As per the post shared by Lei Jun on his Weibo account, the Mi 9 will have a 6.4-inch Samsung AMOLED display. It is expected to have full-HD+ Resolution along with a 103.8 percent NTSC super wide colour gamut and 600 nits of brightness.
The post also reveals that the Xiaomi Mi 9 will have 90.7 per cent screen to body ratio, which is higher than the 83.66 screen to body ratio of the Xiaomi Mi 8. The Mi 9 photos have also revealed that the Mi 9 will have waterdrop notch display. According to Jun, the phone will also come with a highlight mode, game mode and an eye protection mode.
Apart from Xiaomi Mi 9, there will be a Mi 9 Explorer Edition as well. As per a recent leak, standard Mi 9 will be priced at ¥3499 (~$516 / Rs 36870) while the Mi 9 Explorer Edition will be priced at ¥5999 (~$885/ 61094). Also, ahead of the official launch, the Xiaomi Mi 9 SE listing has surfaced online on the Jingdong Mall website.
Xiaomi Mi 9 will feature a vertically-stacked triple rear camera setup with a combination of a primary 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 sensor, a 12-megapixel secondary sensor, and a 3D ToF sensor. For the front, the device is might sport a 24-megapixel Sony IMX576 camera. On the other hand, Mi 9 Explorer Edition is expected to flaunt four cameras on the rear panel, one front camera and support wireless charging. It will be powered by Snapdragon 855 SoC. The Mi 9 Explore Edition might also come with 10GB or 12GB of RAM.
The Xiaomi Mi 9 will be featuring a 6.4-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display with 19:9 aspect ratio an in-display fingerprint scanner. It will be powered by the Snapdragon 855 SoC with the X24 LTE modem. It is said that the Xiaomi Mi 9 will be the company’s first smartphone to be powered by Qualcomm’s latest processor. It will run Android 9 Pie out of the box with MIUI 10 on top.
