Xiaomi is all set to launch Xiaomi Mi 9 in Chinaon February 20 and ahead of its launch theprices of Mi 9 and the Mi 9 Explorer Edition have been leaked. Interestingly on the day of Xiaomi’s launch, Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy S10 series.
An image shared on Weibo by New Technology has revealed the standard Mi 9 will be priced at ¥3499 (~$516 / Rs 36870) while the Mi 9 Explorer Edition will be priced at ¥5999 (~$885/ 61094). It seems the prices leaked are of the top variant as we had earlier reported thatthe base variant of the Xiaomi Mi 9 featuring 6GB of RAM/128GB of storage may be priced at 2999 Yuan which is approx. Rs 30,480.
TheXiaomi Mi 9 will be featuring a 6.4-inch full-HD+ AMOLED displaywith 19:9 aspect ratio an in-display fingerprint scanner. The rear shell of the Mi 9 will comes in blue colour with a glossy rear finish. It will feature a vertically-stacked triple rear camera setup with a combination of a primary 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 sensor, a 12-megapixel secondary sensor, and a 3D ToF sensor. For the front, the device is might sport a 24-megapixel Sony IMX576 camera.
Xiaomi Mi 9 is goingto be powered by the Snapdragon 855 SoC with the X24 LTE modem. It is said that the Xiaomi Mi 9 will be the company’s first smartphone to be powered by Qualcomm’s latest processor. Xiaomi Mi 9 will start with 6GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage and will have up to 8 or 10GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. It will run Android 9 Pie with the company’s own MIUI 10 on top. For dimensions, the phone will measure 155 x 75 x 7.6mm. It will also have a 27W fast charging support.
On the other hand, Mi 9 Explorer Edition is expectedto flaunt four cameras on the rear panel,one front camera and support wireless charging. It will be powered bySnapdragon 855 SoC.
