Vodafone Private Recharge announced to ensure user privacy

To ensure top most privacy, Vodafone India has today announced a new way to recharge their Vodafone numbers with no cost at all. Announced just in the state of Maharashtra and Goa, Vodafone Private Recharge enables users to recharge their prepaid number without sharing the mobile number with retailers.

In order to avail this new feature, one needs to send a toll-free SMS ‘PRIVATE’ to 12604. Thereafter, the customer will receive a unique 10 digit OTP (One Time Password) which can then be shared at a multi-brand retail outlet, Vodafone Store or a Vodafone Mini Store, instead of the customer’s mobile number to recharge with the desired denomination. Post this, customers will then receive a recharge message which will complete the recharge process.

Ashish Chandra – Business Head, Maharashtra & Goa Circle said – “With the world going digital and smartphones becoming the primary data storage device, security of personal information has become a key concern for people. Vodafone Private Recharge helps subscribers keep their phone numbers private and protected from malicious usage. Being one of the most preferred telecom service providers in Maharashtra & Goa, Vodafone is delighted to announce this revolutionary service to make our customers feel more secure and empowered.”

Meanwhile, Vodafone India also introduced an attractive bundled offer for its prepaid customers. The Telecom operator is offering 28GB of mobile data with a daily limit of 1GB along with free unlimited calls. Not only this, first-time subscribers to this plan get double the benefit for double the number of days. In other words, a first time user will get 56GB of data (1GB daily cap) with unlimited free calls for 56 days. However, the new offer is only available for some select users.
