Vodafone introduces Rs 279 prepaid plan

The latest Vodafone plan targets users whose sole purpose of a network is voice calling. The Rs 279 prepaid plan will thus allow unlimited voice calling to up to 1000 minutes per week and 250 minutes per day. Further, the plan also provides users with 4GB of 4G/3G mobile data, all of which will be valid for 84 days.

Vodafone India has released a new for its users in India. The Rs 279 prepaid plan is now the cheapest of all plans that provide 84 days of goodies, thus outdoing Reliance Jio and BSNL in the process.

As stated above, the newest prepaid plan from Vodafone targets users whose sole purpose of a network is voice calling. The Rs 279 prepaid plan will thus allow unlimited voice calling to up to 1000 minutes per week and 250 minutes per day. Further, the plan also provides users with 4GB of 4G/3G mobile data, all of which will be valid for 84 days.

This is thus the cheapest of any prepare plans among Vodafone’s competitors in India as no other telecom operator has an 84-day prepaid plan for under Rs 300. Vodafone is also offering the Rs 399 and Rs 448 prepaid packs, the latter offering unlimited voice ad 1.4GB of data per day for 84 days.

To compete with Vodafone’s latest offer,Airtel is offering a Rs 399 plan with unlimited voice calls on local, STD and national roaming, 100 per day and 1.4GB of data per day with a shorter validity of 70 days. Reliance Jio is offeringunlimited voice calls, 100 SMS per day and free access to Jio apps and 1.5GB of data per day with its Rs 399 plan that lasts for 84 days.

Earlier this week, Vodafone announced two new prepaid packs – Rs 99 and Rs 109 plans, both with unlimited local, STD and roaming calls for a period of 28 days, but the latter with an additional 1GB of data. The company, as part of its merger with Idea also launched six Active recharge packs for prepaid users offering talk time, free data and discounted tariff rate.
