Vodafone hikes postpaid tariff in Delhi

This plan is meant only for per second postpaid users. Vodafone has also not changed data plans.

Vodafone has hiked the voice tariff rates for its postpaid customers in Delhi circles.

Vodafone’s postpaid subscribers with per second will now have to pay 1.5 paisa per second (90 paisa per minute) for calls to local, landline and STD numbers.

While, Vodafone to Vodafone local and STD calls to mobile phones (GSM/CDMA – 10 Digit) will remain unchanged at 1.2 paisa per second.

Earlier the tariff was 1 paisa per second and 1.2 paisa per second for all local and STD calls to any network (off net and own net) across India.

People using other plans will not be impacted. Data charges have also not been changed. The charges for the prepaid users were increased in June last year. With this change, both postpaid and prepaid consumers will now have the same calling rates.

“As of now we do not have any plans to increase tariff in other circles. Data plans in all circles for both 2G and customers are also not being changed right now,” a Vodafone spokesperson told The Mobile Indian.

All the major operators had increased call rates in last June. However, some operators had spared their high value postpaid customers at that time, but it will be interesting to see if they also follow Vodafone’s footsteps.
