Vodafone has announced a new prepaid recharge plan that offers unlimited 3G/4G data for one hour for just Rs 21.
This is just an internet pack and thus offers no talktime but it is definitely a life-saver if you have just exhausted your daily/monthly quota of data. But ofcourse how much data you can actually consume will depend on the coverage status. If you happen to be in the area where Vodafone has the best coverage, you should certainly make hay when the sun shines.
Such packages will certainly help Vodafone attract prepaid users to the operator which is facing a huge challenge from Jio and other telecos.
The operator has been announcing new packages almost every month. Just earlier this month, it announced a Rs 299 plan that offers 1 GB data per day. The pack is valid for 56 days, it means you will get 56GB of data. However, there is a catch here, Vodafone is offering 2G data instead of 3G or 4G data. Apart from this, the pack offers the benefits of unlimited local and STD voice calls and 100 SMS per day. However, the unlimited calls do come with some restrictions as one only call 250 minutes per day and 1000 minutes per week.
Last month, Vodafone launched Rs 158 prepaid plan where Vodafone users will get unlimited local and STD voice calls along with free national roaming calls. However, there is a daily cap of 250 minutes per day and 1000 minutes per week. Further, users will get 1GB of 4G data per day and it is valid for 28 days, thus making a grand total of 28GB of data per month. Sadly, unlike other telecom operator plans, this one does not come with free SMSes.
