Telenor introduces 4G services in Dehradun

Prior to Dehradun, Telenor had rolled out its 4G services in Agra.

Telenor, who earlier launched 4G services in areas near Jharkhand earlier this month, has now rolled out its 4G services to Dehradun. Prior to Dehradun, Telenor had rolled out 4G services in Agra.

Speaking on the occasion, Anil Kumar, circle business head – UPW, Telenor India, said,”We are really excited to offer high speed 4G services to our Dehradun customers. With 100 percent sites being ready in the city with advanced equipment and efficient spectral deployment, the company is geared up to offer superior speed and better experience at affordable price. Our 4G plans are very cost effective and provide best deal to customers in this market. In addition to this, the network is energy efficient and much more reliable. This makes Telenor network one of the best in the city both on voice and data services.”

Telenor said that it will provide 4G services at much cheaper rates than its competitors living up to its brand promise of “Life…Full Paisa Vasool”. Coming to the plans, Telenor is offering 100 MB 4G data @Rs 11 with a validity of 1 day. For Rs 147, you will get 1GB 4G data and all local calls at 1p/2 seconds with a validity of 28 days. Lastly, you can also get 2GB 4G data plus local calls at the same rate of 1p/ 2 seconds @Rs 247 with a validity of 28 days. As of now, these offers can be availed only through fully functional Telenor branded stores or selected retail stores.

As mentioned earlier, this 4G pilot is introduced after successful test of Telenor 4G services across its 6 circles in Varanasi, Vizag, Amravati, Agra, Anand, Lucknow, Ranchi, Vijayawada, Tenali, Eluru, Bhimavaram, Dhanbad and Warangal moving up and closer to its objective of ‘Internel for All’.

Back in 2015, when the company initiated this programme in UP west, it announced that the entire area will be covered under its plan of modernization of its network. As of now 64% of its sites have been modernized. The company claims that many sites have been migrated to this new technology which has helped reduce congestion and increase data speeds resulting in better experience for the customers. Further, the company also claims this to be one of the biggest network modernization deal made by Telenor Group across its business units.
