Splash Telecom launches Zinglife tablet

Splash telecom, which is part of a Chinese conglomerate which manufactures Mobile phones, has launched a 10 inch Android based tablet, and also plans to launch two other 7 Inch Android tablets in next one month.

Splash Telecom, which is part of a Chinese conglomerate which manufacturers Mobile phones for several Indian and multinational mobile phone brands, has entered Indian market with their own brand of tablets.

The first tablet coming out for them is the E-Pad ZL101, which is 2.2 based 10.1 Inch tablet. It comes with a 1 GHz ARM11 processor, Wifi, 3G, HDMI post, front camera, and expandable memory up to 32 GB.

There are other goodies like mini port, and USB 2.0 port (which means that you can connect any keyboard or mouse to this tablet), it also has and access to Android Market as well. The battery is a 2400 unit that should provide decent battery.

The quality and built quality will be known only when we get our hands on it. However going by the specifications, it’s a feature rich tablet.

Piyush Mathur, managing director of Splash Telecom said “We have tied up with Iris Computers for distribution of this tablet, we will soon launch two more Tablets with 7 inch screen size, one of them will be a feature rich phone while the other one will be lower on cost.”

He added “We also plan to launch Smartphones in the market, and unlike others we will not focus on very cheap phones instead our smartphones will have competitive price”.

The E-Pad ZL101 is currently available at a market price of Rs 14,000, and they plan to sell their Phones (when launched) between RS 4,000 to Rs 8,000. The Tablet is also available online on EBay though at a higher price of Rs 16,500.
