Sony is all set to hold its launch event at the upcoming Mobile World Congressevent to be held in Barcelona later this month. The company has scheduled its launch event at MWC on February 26th and it will start at 8.30am CET (1 PM IST). Recently, an Irish mobile operator has accidentally revealed that Xperia XZ2 will be announced at the MWC event. Now a Sony Xperia device with model number H8266 has been spotted on AnTuTu benchmark website which as per reports is none other than Sony Xperia XZ2 smartphone. The listing has revealed some of its key specs.
As per AnTuTu listing,Sony Xperia XZ2 features an HD+ display with a resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels which suggests at 18:9 aspect ratio and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, along with Adreno 630 GPU. Further, as per listing, the smartphone comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The smartphone runs on Android 8.0 Oreo operating system. The listing has no information about its battery size and the camera resolution.
Sony H8266 is the same device which was spotted on a GeekBench benchmarking website in December last year. In the GeekBench listing, the Sony H8266 got 2393 points in single-core test and in multi-core test it received 8300 points. As per the listing on Geekbench, the Sony H8266 has 4GB RAM and Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 1.77 GHz octa-core processor. The handset is based on the Android 8.0.0 Oreo operating system.
Just yesterday, Sony Xperia XZ2 Pro appeared in HTML benchmark test screenshot with codename Sony H1866. The smartphone is expected to be the world’s first smartphone with a 4K OLED display. The report revealed that the Xperia XZ2 Pro with the 4k display would be supporting an aspect ratio of 18:9. The benchmark also showed that the device will run Android 8.1 Oreo operating system.

The leaks also revealed that the 4K OLED display on the Sony smartphone will be made by LG. As per rumours, the Xperia smartphone is expected to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 Chipset coupled with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. It is expected to featuring a dual camera setup of an 18-megapixel sensor with a pixel size of 1.33μm and a 12-megapixel sensor with a pixel size of 1.38μm. For the front, the device will feature a 13-megapixel camera for selfies and video chats.
We have to wait for some more days for the MWC event for the company to officially launch the Sony Xperia XZ2 and XZ2 Pro to know the confirmed specs.
