Samsung has today announced the launch of its latest wireless earbuds, the Gear IconX, in India. The earbuds come with a price tag of Rs 13,990 and it is available from major retail stores, Samsung Online Shop and Flipkart starting from today i.e. July 26, 2018.
The major highlight of the earbuds is the standalone music playback functionality. Users can listen to their favourite music directly from the earbuds. One can load the music either wirelessly or from the phone or PC using a USB cable. The touch-based gestures allow for the usual play, pause, skip as well as the power to browse entire playlists.
Then there is an equaliser feature that allows users to quickly and easily adjust the audio frequency to optimal levels by choosing from five presets including Bass Boost, Soft, Dynamic, Clear and Treble Boost. Another interesting thing about this device is that it allows you to take calls. It also calls out incoming callers, messages and notifications.
The Gear IconX (2018) come loaded with Bixby voice assistant and with a simple tap and hold of the earbud, one can use his/her voice to control music or phone. The device also tracks the running routines as well and it features a standalone Running Coach function which can be activated by simply tapping the earbud to provide in-ear audio7 exercise status updates. The earbuds are available in Black, Gray and Pink colour variants.
The wireless earbuds come with Bluetooth 4.2 connectivity option and it has a 5.8pi dynamic driver for the better audio experience. You also get a 4GB of memory on each earbud. The device offers 7 hours of play time on standalone mode and 5 hours of play time on Bluetooth mode. The company claims that A quick charge of 10-min in the case gives you one hour of connectivity. It also comes with a charging case that is backed by a 340mAh battery and support micro USB 2.0 and Type-C port.
