Reliance Jio has increased its 4G availability with the highest national score the OpenSignal has ever recorded.

Reliance Jio has once maintained its lead when it comes to providing the network to the masses, while Airtel still has an upper hand when it comes to download speeds. As per a report by OpenSignal, Reliance Jio has increased its 4G availability with the highest national score the OpenSignal has ever recorded.

Reliance Jio has also topped the experience, meaning Jio users are experiencing better internet experience as compared to other operators. The report further mentions that Airtel has led the race when it comes to download speeds. Airtel has a download speed of 8.7 Mbps, while Reliance Jio is offering 6.3 of download speeds. The report also states that Airtel has shown some good growth across all the metrics captured the researchers. The report further states that Airtel has also topped in the video experience department by providing a host of interesting content to its user base.

Furthermore, the merger of Vodafone and Idea will create Indian’s largest operator with some 387 million subscribers across the country. The company is planning to extend its 4G network to over 80 percent of Indian users. The report says that Idea Cellular has topped the upload speed experience by providing higher speeds as compared to its competition.

Meanwhile, OpenSignal previously revealed the telecom circle with maximum availability of 4G. In the report, the company highlights that Kolkata is at the top of the list with a score of 90.73 percent for covering the widest area in a single region. The metro city was also the only city to reach the 90 percent threshold of 4G availability across a single region. Kolkata was followed closely by Punjab, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, and Orissa, all of which scored at least 89 percent on OpenSignal’s list for 4G availability.
