As of now, there is no word on whether the new Redmi K20 gamepad will arrive in India or not.
Redmi K20, Redmi K20 Pro were launched in India recently. Prior to that, the Redmi K20 Pro was launched in China. Now the company has announced a gamepad for the Redmi K20 and the Redmi K20 Pro in China. The gamepad is priced at CNY 179 (approx Rs 1,800) but Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro can buy the device for CNY 99 (approx Rs 1,000).
As of now, there is no word on whether the new Redmi K20 gamepad will arrive in India or not. The gamepad is identical to the one that was launched with the first Xiaomi Black Shark gaming smartphone.
The gamepad can be connected to the left or right edge of the phone when the handset is held in landscape mode. It includes a joystick, mapable gaming buttons, Bluetooth 4.2 connectivity and a 340mAh battery.
To recall, in India the Redmi K20 Pro comes with a price tag of Rs 27,999 for the 6GB RAM + 128GB of internal storage, while the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage is priced at Rs 30,999. The Redmi K20 is available with 6GB RAM + 64GB storage for Rs 21,999 and 6GB RAM + 128GB for Rs 23,999.
Both the smartphones are loaded with a 6.39-inch Full HD+ AMOLED Horizon Display with a screen resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels, 19.5:9 aspect ratio, 600nits brightness, DCI-P3 colour gamut. Both the phones are loaded with a 4000mAh battery and the company has bundled an 18W fast charger as well. The Redmi K20 Pro also supports 27W fast charging support.
The Redmi K20 Pro features a triple-camera setup with a combination of 48-megapixel primary lens with Sony IMX 586 sensor, f/1.75 aperture, laser autofocus, PDAF along with 13-megapixel wide-angle lens 124.8-degree field of view and an 8-megapixel telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor along with Adreno 640 GPU. The phone is backed by up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage with no option to expand the storage.
The Redmi K20 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 processor along with Adreno 616 GPU. The phone is backed by a 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage. On the camera front, the phone features a triple-camera setup with 48-megapixel Sony IMX582 sensor, a 13-megapixel wide-angle lens and an 8-megapixel telephoto lens. For the front, both the smartphones are equipped with a 20-megapixel selfie shooter.
