Realme seems to be the latest company in the smartphone space to tease that its coming up with new foldables, including a flip phone and a regular folding phone, similar to the Find N2, Galaxy Z Fold 4 and more. This development has officially been confirmed by the Realme CEO.
Madhav Sheth, VP of Realme, posted a tweet asking the audience what they want next, a Realme Flip or a Realme Fold. While these may not be the official monikers for the upcoming foldables from Realme, this does confirm what the brand is working on and in which direction it wants to head in next.
With Realme jumping into the foldable space with its Fold and Flip phones, the competition is about to get tough for the current ruler of the foldable market, which is Samsung. The South Korean giant is still at the top when it comes to mass production and sales of foldable devices.
Other companies including Oppo and Tecno are already in the race to become the top player in this space. Oppo already has the Find N2 and Find N2 Flip under its portfolio while Tecno recently came up with the Phantom V Fold. Apart from that, OnePlus has also confirmed that it will be launching a folding smartphone later this year. Vivo is already operating in this space with its Vivo X Fold series.
In related news to Realme, the brand recently unveiled the Realme GT 3 globally as its latest flagship offering. Realme GT 3 sports a 6.74-inch FHD+ AMOLED Display with a 144Hz refresh rate, 2772 X 1240 pixels resolution, 93.69 percent contrast ratio, 360Hz touch sampling rate, 1100nits peak brightness, and 1.07 billion colours. The phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC paired with up 16GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 3.1 storage.
