Vivo V27 series, TWS Air launched in India; Realme GT 3 debuts globally

While Vivo has launched its V27 series smartphones in India, Realme has debuted its Realme GT 3 globally.

Update 16/03/2023: Vivo has announced that starting today, consumers can pre-book the vivo V27 smartphone until March 21. The smartphone can be pre-booked via vivo India e-store, Flipkart along with all partner retail stores across India. 

Consumers can avail up to Rs 3,000 cashback with ICICI, Kotak Mahindra Bank, and HDB Financial services cards. Consumers can also avail an upgrade bonus of up to Rs 3000 and exchange their old device for the all-new vivo V27.

Vivo V27 series has been launched in India, including the Vivo V27 Pro and the Vivo V27. Alongside, the Vivo Air have also debuted. While the Vivo V27 Pro has a Dimensity 8200 chip, the vanilla V27 gets a Dimensity 7200 and is the first smartphone in India to debut with this chipset. Meanwhile, Realme has launched its GT 3 smartphone globally, with 240W fast charging support, translucent window next to the camera module and more.

Vivo V27 series India Price

Vivo V27 Pro comes in three storage variants starting at Rs 37,999 for 8GB+128GB, Rs 39,999 for 8GB + 256GB, and Rs 42,999 for the 12GB+256GB variant. The smartphone will be available for pre-booking starting today March 01, 2023, across Flipkart, vivo India e-store, and all partner retail stores.

Consumers pre-booking the device using online channels can avail of a flat discount of Rs 3,000 (applicable on HDFC Bank, ICICI, and Kotak Mahindra bank), while consumers pre-booking the device offline can avail up to Rs 3,500 cashback with ICICI, Kotak, and HDB Financial services. 

Vivo V27 will be available for purchase starting March 23, 2023, for Rs 32,999 for 8GB+128GB, and Rs 36,999 for the 12GB+256GB variant.

The V27 series has a 6.78-inch with FHD+ resolution, peak brightness of up to 1300 nits, 120Hz refresh rate, and an in-display optical fingerprint scanner. The V27 Pro draws power from the Dimensity 8200 processor while the V27 gets a Dimensity 7200 chip.

Both come with up to 12GB LPDDR5 and up to 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. The Vivo V27 series pack a 4600mAh battery and charge at 66W speeds. Connectivity options on the Vivo V27 series include 5G, LTE, Wi-Fi 6, v5.3, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, and a USB port. The devices have stereo speakers as well.

For cameras, both the Vivo devices have a 50MP OIS-enabled IMX766V f/2.45 primary lens, an 8MP f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a 2MP f/2.4 macro unit at the back. The devices get a 50MP selfie snapper. Both the smartphones run on FunTouchOS 13 based 13 operating system.

Vivo TWS Air Price, Specs

Vivo TWS Air will be available for purchase at Rs 3,999. As part of bundle offer, consumers purchasing V27 series can avail a discount of Rs 1,000, bringing the effective price to Rs 2,999.

vivo TWS Air comes with a large 14.2mm speaker driver and a long battery life of up to 25 hours. They are tuned by vivo Golden Ears Acoustics Lab and have been developed after studying the various needs of the consumers, says the brand.

Weighing just 3.5 grams, TWS Air come with DeepX 2.0 stereo sound effects that provide “mega bass, clear voice, and clear high pitch”, along with Google Fast Pair and Bluetooth 5.2.

Realme GT 3 Price, Specs

The Realme GT 3 comes in a wide selection of storage variants to choose from, including 8+128GB, 12+256GB, 16+256GB, 16+512GB, and a special 16+1TB variant. Available in two colour options, Pulse White and Booster Black, the global recommended retail price for realme GT 3 will start from $649 (approx Rs 53,600).

Realme GT 3 sports a 6.74-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, 2772 X 1240 pixels resolution, 93.69 percent contrast ratio, 360Hz touch sampling rate, 1100nits peak brightness, and 1.07 billion colours. The phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 with Adreno next-gen GPU. The phone comes with up 16GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 3.1 storage.

The Realme GT 3 boots Android 13-based Realme UI custom skin out of the box. Further, it packs a 4,600mAh battery with 240W SuperVOOC fast charging support. There’s a translucent window next to the camera module which houses a polished deco, an chipset, and the Pulse Interface System with a C-shaped RGB lighting ring inside. This RGB lighting is fully customisable as well.

As for optics, the Realme GT 3 has triple rear cameras on the back, with a 50MP primary Sony IMX890 sensor with OIS and LED flash, an 8MP ultra-wide angle camera, and a 2MP microscope camera. There is a 16MP snapper for selfies.

Additional features on the phone include Stainless Steel Vapor Cooling System Max 2.0, Pulse Interface Design, a dedicated display chipset, Tactile Engine, GT mode 4.0, Intelligent Remote Control, X-axis linear motor, and dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos. Connectivity features include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and a USB Type-C port for charging and data sync. There is an in-display optical fingerprint sensor for security.
