OnePlus 7T launching in India today: What could be the price?

The OnePlus 7T will be an upgrade to the OnePlus 7 smartphone launched in India earlier this year at Rs 32,999 for the base 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant.

OnePlus is all set to launch OnePlus 7T in India later today along with OnePlus TV. The OnePlus 7T and OnePlus TV launch event will be held today at 7 P.M in New Delhi today. The company will be live streaming the launch event from OnePlus official YouTube channel.

The OnePlus 7T will be an upgrade to the OnePlus 7 smartphone launched in India earlier this year at Rs 32,999 for the base 6GB + 128GB storage variant. It is expected that the OnePlus 7T will be priced at a starting of around Rs 35,000 in India. The new phone will be available in India from September 29 during the Amazon Great Indian Festival Sale.

The company recently posted some official renders of the OnePlus 7T which revealed the design and rear camera setup. OnePlus 7T will feature a glass back panel with a two-tone finish. The top half of the rear back panel has a dark shade and the bottom part has a lighter shade. At the back, there will be a triple camera setup in a circular camera module. The three will be aligned horizontally with a dual-LED flash light lying below them. Below the round camera module, there will be the OnePlus logo. On the front, the phone will feature waterdrop notch on the top. The volume rockers are placed on the left side while the power on/off button and alert slider are on the right side.

So for specifications, what to expect from the OnePlus 7T? OnePlus yesterday confirmed that OnePlus 7T will come preloaded with Android 10. It means that OnePlus 7T will be featuring all the key Android 10 features, including the system-wide Dark Theme, location controls, smart reply and enhanced privacy controls. It is to be noted that OnePlus 7T will be the first smartphone officially pre-loaded with Google’s latest version of Android- Android 10.

Apart from Android 10, the company has already confirmed that the new smartphone will come with a 90Hz display. OnePlus 7T will feature a 6.55-inch Fluid AMOLED FullHD+ display with 90Hz refresh rate, 2400×1080 pixels resolution, HDR10+ support and 402 ppi density. With an HDR10+ display, users will be able to watch HDR content on Netflix and YouTube.

For the camera department, OnePlus 7T will be equipped with a triple rear camera setup featuring a 48-megapixel primary camera with ƒ/1.6 aperture, optical and electronic image stabilisation and 16-megapixel ultra-wide camera with 120-degree field of view and ƒ/2.2 aperture’ but instead of an 8-megapixel camera with 3X zoom, the OnePlus 7T will feature a 12-megapixel Telephoto lens with 2X zoom and ƒ/2.2 aperture. There will be a 16-megapixel camera with ƒ/2.0 and EIS for selfies and video calling.

The OnePlus 7T will be powered by a 7nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus coupled with an Adreno 640 GPU. OnePlus 7T is expected to launch in two storage variants of 8GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB. It will run on OxygenOS based on Android 10 and will feature an optical in-display fingerprint sensor. It will be backed by a 3,800mAh battery with WARP Charge 30T Fast Charging support.
