OnePlus 7T and OnePlus 7T Pro smartphones are expected to launch in India on September 26. This is the same day whenOnePlus is also expected to launch the OnePlus TV. Now it has been revealed that OnePlus 7T will get the 90Hz display.
In a new interview with CNET, OnePlus CEO Pete Lau revealed that one of the devices out of OnePlus 7T and OnePlus 7T Pro which is likely to be the OnePlus 7T will feature a 90Hz display refresh rate. This is a feature that appears on the OnePlus 7 Pro as well.
He also revealed that it will be cheaper than the OnePlus 7 Pro and it will also launch very soon. Notably, OnePlus 7 did not have a 90Hz display refresh rate. The 90Hz refresh rate display allows for a smoother scrolling experience than the 60Hz displays found on most phones.
“OnePlus was the first in the industry to use a QHD Plus 90Hz AMOLED screen with the ultrapremium OnePlus 7 Pro. The overwhelming positive feedback pushed us to bring 90Hz, which we believe will become standard on flagship phones, to our highly acclaimed premium lineup so that more people can experience the smooth scrolling display” Lau told CNET.
Pete Lau also suggested that OnePlus 7T might be featuring Snapdragon 855 Plus chipset. He said “We design OnePlus devices to achieve the best fast and smooth experience on the market. Implementing the best-in-industry Qualcomm 800 series processors is a major part of achieving this high-end performance.” The 90Hz display refresh rate and the cheaper price were the only two things Lau confirmed.
Earlier thekey specifications of the OnePlus 7T smartphone were leaked as per which the device will sport a 6.55-inch Quad HD 2K SUPER AMOLED 90Hz screen. It will come in two colours – Frosted Silver and Haze Blue.
