Google, in association with Paper Magazine, has introduced a new contest for all the design enthusiasts. The contest is basically for the next design of Android Wear watch faces. As per Google, all kind of submissions will be accepted whether it is in the form photos, painted canvas or even a sketch on a napkin.
To enter the competition, one needs to post the design on Instagram before 15th September 2016, with hashtags #AndroidWear and #WearWhatYouWant. After Google has received all the entries for the same, five designs will be declared as winners by a selected panel of five judges. According to media reports, the panel includes known designers like Cynthia Rowley, Made co-founder Jenné Lombardo, Queen Bey’s stylist Ty Hunter, Android Wear designer Morten Just, and Paper’s Editorial Director, Mickey Boardman.
Further, the winning designs will also feature in Android Wear’s fall fashion collection and will also be available for users to download. Not only this, the grand prize winner will get a free mentorship, a trip to Paris Fashion Week and an Android Wear watch.
“To celebrate the upcoming fashion weeks, Paper and Android Wear are sponsoring a social media competition – launching a global search for unique watch face designs. Whether you’re a design student or just a fashion lover, this is your chance to free your inner designer,” Paper Magazine said in an article.
