Nokia 5.1, Nokia 3.1 get price cuts in India, start at Rs 9,355

The prices of the Nokia 3.1 and Nokia 5.1 have now gone down to Rs 9,355 and Rs 11,499 respectively. While both devices are available on Flipkart and Amazon, it’s the Nokia 3.1 which is available for a price cut at Flipkart while the Nokia 5.1 is cheaper on Amazon.

Days after revealing the Nokia 106 feature phone, Nokia is now refreshing the prices of its older duo of Nokia 3.1 and Nokia 5.1, the former now starting for as low as Rs 9,355.

Spotted first by NokiaPowerUser, the prices of the Nokia 3.1 and Nokia 5.1 have now gone down to Rs 9,355 and Rs 11,499 respectively. While both devices are available on Flipkart and Amazon, it’s the Nokia 3.1 which is available for a price cut at Flipkart while the Nokia 5.1 is cheaper on Amazon.

At Rs 11,499, the Nokia 5.1 is still pricier than the Nokia 5.1 Plus which is available for Rs 10,499 during the Flipkart Bonanza Sale. The device features a 5.5-inch Full display with 2.5d curved glass and a tall aspect ratio of 18:9. The device is powered by a MediaTek Helio P18 along with 3GB of and 32GB of internal storage. The phone runs on Android 8.1 Oreo and it bears a 3,000mAh battery.

The Nokia 3.1, on the other hand, launched with 2GB RAM in India earlier this year for Rs 10,499. The Nokia 3.1 features a 5.2-inch HD+ display, MediaTek 6750 octa-core processor, 3GB RAM and 32GB storage, 13-megapixel rear camera (f/2.0 aperture), 8-megapixel front-facing camera (f/2.0 aperture), 2,990mAh battery, Android 8.0 Oreo.

HMD has promised Android 9 Pie updates to all of their Android One smartphones including the Nokia 3.1 and Nokia 5.1. The Nokia 5.1 Plus has already been updated to Android Pie as the company prepares to launch the Nokia 8.1 after it scheduled an event on December 5.
